Biographical history
A. Alex Wellington is an Associate Professor in the Philosophy Department at Ryerson University. Wellington holds a PhD in Philosophy, an LLB (Law), a Master's in Environmental Studies, and a BA (Hons) in Philosophy from York University. She is the Acting Director and former Speaker Series Coordinator (200-2009 and 2011-2012) of the Ryerson Ethics Network. She is also the Academic Lead and Certificate Coordinator for the Continuing Education Certificate in Ethics and the Past President of the Canadian Section of the International Association for Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy. Wellington has published widely in the fields of Philosophy of Law, Ethics and Human Rights, Environmental Law and Policy, Intellectual Property, and others.
