Item consists of a grey card with oval photograph of a woman with a light coloured dress with dark vertical stripes and a frilled collar. The photograph is bordered by embossed floral design. At the base of the card, embossed in black ink, "LAMSON/ STUDIO." in a decorative border, and next to that mark, "F. C. Dando./ 313 1/2 S. SPRING ST./ L. A. CAL." On verso, handwritten in pencil, "4-".

Tears at all four corners show were cover mount would have been adhered. Item consists of a grey card with photograph affixed. Image of an army regiment at attention, standing ont he sidewalk of a city street with a building advertising "THE/ T.S. FORD C-/ LIMITED/ DEPARTMENT/ STORE" behind the troops. Handwritten in blue ink are the names of many of the soldiers, with arrows pointing to the respective persons.

Slides depict statues, religious scenes, portraits of people, temples, a church and a poster
