Scope and content

In 1953 the Department of Health for Ontario organized the Ontario Sanitary Inspectors' Training course that was based out of Ryerson Institute of Technology. The course was one year in length and Ryerson instructors provided the majority of the course content for the program. Students were selected by the Department of Health. In 1963 the course changed to The Public Health Inspectors Course and was completely governed by Ryerson.
The file includes photocopies of class lists for the Ontario Sanitary Inspectors' Training Courses between 1953-1963; the Public Health Inspectors program 1964-1981; and Environmental Health Administration certificate 1969-1974.
