Item is an albumen stereograph. Image depicts a large machine on a platform in an exhibition hall. The machine is marked "GEO. H. CORLISS, PROVIDENCE R.I." Recto captions bottom: "496- Corliss Engine, Mach. Hall"; left:"International Exhibition, 1876"; right: "Centennial Photographic Co., Philad'a". Verso has a crest and caption "Centennial Photographic International Exhibition. Wm. Notman president, W. Irving Adams vice pres, Edward L. Wilson supt & treasurer, J. A. Fraser art superintendent, 1776, 1876, Philadelphia." Verso pencil inscription "M.A.M."; "not included"; "606."
