A small collection of material from Malcolm Matthew documenting the planning and formation of the Urban Planning Department and the Urban Planning degree program. M. Matthew, a former faculty member in Architectural Technology, specializing in Urban Planning, was involved in the planning process to separate Urban Planning from the Architectural Technology department. The documentation consists of:
1) a brief history of the reorganization of UPLN with extracts from Academic Council minutes re. curriculum changes in the Urban Planning program
2) Search Committee for Urban Planning department Chair: memos and curriculum vitae of applicant
3) announcement of new chair
4) correspondence with The Town Planning Institute of Canada requesting their procedures and the possibilities in recognizing Ryerson's Urban Planning degree program
5) correspondence re. evaluation of degree proposal/submission
6) letter of application/resume for teaching position.
