Biographical history
Gloria Roberts-Fiati is a professor in the Department of Early Childhood Studies at Ryerson University. Roberts-Fiati earned her BA (Hons.) from Guelph University, her MA and PhD from the University of Toronto, and her Post-Doctoral training from York University. Her area of specialization is in child/clinical psychology, psychoeducational assessment and child development.and she teaches courses in Counselling and Parent Education. Prior to joining the School of Early Childhood Studies in 1989, Gloria was a consulting psychologist at the Sarnia Lambton Centre for children and youth. She taught for several years in the Faculty of Education at the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, and in the department of Early Childhood Education at Grande Prairie Regional College in Alberta. Roberts-Fiati is actively involved in research in a number of areas related to child development, child care, and the education of minority children. She is is an executive member of the Infant Mental Health project at Sick Children's Hospital, and a member of the Advisory Council for the Delcrest Centre Infant Program.
