Scope and content

Go Fot it! is a video and resource kit developed to promote the idea of post-secondary education to 9-14 year olds. The project targeted children from groups that are traditionally underrepresented in the post-secondary population. It was created by the Office of Employment and Educational Equity Office. Resources are in 3 languages - English, French, and Oji-Cree.

The resource kit include 5 booklets: Student handout 1, Student Handout 2, Student handout 3, about this project, and Discussion Guide. There is also a resource list with contact information for a variety of services.

The accompanying 20 minute videos feature celebrities Kashtin, Julie Masse and the Dream Warriors, singing, rapping and in discussion with children. The video also features interviews with people across Ontario talking about and demonstrating their different careers and the opportunities available to every one.
