The Éperon building was constructed to complement the existing historic architecture of the area, and was built to match the proportions of the Royal Insurance Company building that was previously on the site. The building matches the roof lines of the other structures on the Rue de la Commune, and the tower building (pictured) is an easily identifiable element in the museum complex.
Photographs of architect's models, aerial views of the completed building, and views of the Japanese zen garden. Originally called The National Museum of Man.
Folder contains photographic prints of the University of British Colombia Museum of Anthropology. Photographs range in date from November 1979 up to October 1992. Many of the photographs have captions on the back with information about the architecture of the building.
