Burndy Canada Ltd. office & plant : Scarborough

The industrial building and offices has a steel frame, bolted in the factory area, and bolted and welded in the office area. The curtain wall of windows in the office area is accented by exposed exterior columns. This architectural detail (the columns) was originally developed by the architects for a school building, to aid in the addition of a second storey. The building has concrete floors throughout and a steel roof deck.

Amherst Veterinary Hospital : Scarborough

Photograph of the exterior of the single storey structure, built on a hillside which slopes down from front to rear. Exposed concrete block bearing walls with infill panels of tongue-and-groove cedar panelling on the exterior front. The office and reception block are in front, with animal treatment rooms and kennel in the back. There is an apartment for a resident caretaker.

Exterior views of the office building, showing the glass and porcelain curtain wall of the front entrance and the glass sign next to the entrance. The wall has a double skin: the windows are double-plate sealed units with metal-faced panels providing air space.

Metropolitan Toronto School Board offices

Interior and exterior views of the York Mills public school converted to offices for the Metropolitan Toronto School Board. The building is located at 45 York Mills Road, in the former Borough of North York. Images of the old school building and heritage plaque commemorating the the original two room schoolhouse, as well as views of the renovated space, including offices, hallways and signage. Images published in the March 1985 issue of Canadian Architect magazine.

Hamilton, Moses residence

Black and white photographs of the exterior of a home, taken at night and during the day. Stamp on back of photograph with architect's name, Jerome Markson. Markson was awarded a 25 Years Award in 1993 for his work on the Moses residence by the Ontario Association of Architects and Canadian House and Home magazine.

Charlottetown, Peake-Carvell building

Built in 1856 by James Peake, a prominent shipbuilder and merchant in Charlottetown. In the photograph, signage for the Carvell Brothers Wholsale Grocers Ltd. who owned and operated a wholesale buisiness at this location from 1862-1976. The building is now a historica property.

Campbelton, Sugarloaf Senior High School

Side view, showing brick building set into the side of a hill. A note adhered to the verso gives the name, architect, owner, contractor and details about the judges' remarks for the building, which was submitted for a design competition.
