They created an endowment fund at Ryerson to support 5 scholarships in Engineering, Business, and Community Services. The scholarships are as follows: The Aditya Jha Graduate Diversity award; The Aditya Jha Undergraduate Diversity award (2); The Aditya Jha Undergraduate Entrepreneurship award; and the Aditya Jha Community Development award.

PEBBLES project

File contains photographs taken during two different photo shoots of the PEBBLES monitor and of children using the monitor and computer. Also included in the file is information on the unit and project as well as photocopies of news articles about the project.

PEBBLES and Wayne Gretzky at The Bay

File contains photographs taken at The Bay's launch of the Wayne Gretzky fashion collection and its support of PEBBLES (Providing education by bringing learning environments to students). PEBBLES was designed by Ryerson's Centre for Learning Technologies, Telbotics Inc., and the Adaptive Technology Resource Centre at the University of Toronto. It was a video teleconferencing unit that could connect hospitalized children with the classroom. $1 from every clothing purchase would be donated to PEBBLES. Featured in the photographs are then president Claude Lajeunesse, Wayne Gretzky, his wife Janet Jones, and Ryerson professor Deborah Fels. Pictures from the file were printed in the October 5, 1998 edition of the FORUM. Included in the file are brochures about PEBBLES, a press kit about the launch, and advertisements for the Wayne Gretzky collection.

Panasonic Kid Witness News program tour

File contains photographs taken during Panasonic's Kid Witness News program's tour of the Rogers Communication Centre. The tour included 200 grade 5 and 6 students from schools across Southern Ontario that were given digital video equipment by Panasonic. They came to Ryerson to learn about all aspects of television broadcasting. Picture from file was featured in the March 2002 edition of the FORUM.

Open to students in the 3rd and 4th year of costume design in the Theatre School, third year students Jean Louie and Elyssa Caron were the first winners and were presented their awards by Harry Malabar. Endowment fund created by friends and family of Harry and Jean in honour of Harry's 100th birthday. . Holiday card - winter scenes

File contains photographs taken of the Ryerson Campus in winter and of assorted holiday props for the University holiday card. Photographs were taken in 1995, 1999, and 2000 and were taken by various photographers. Included are pictures of the Kerr Hall clock tower, the Quad, the Normal School facade, the Rogers Communication Centre, and Oakham house. Many of the images were used in a holiday card sent out by the University. One of the images of the Kerr Hall clock tower was published in the December 8 1997 edition of the forum.

High performance computing virtual laboratory (HPCVL) ceremony

File contains photographs taken of the opening of Ryerson's high performance computing virtual laboratory. Ryerson's lab is the Toronto nodule of a consortium of colleges and universities including Queen's University, Royal Military College, St. Lawrence College, Carlton University, University of Ottawa, Ryerson University, Seneca College, and Loyalist College. Computers donated by Sun Microsystems.

Dr. Robert Guerriere was a faculty member in the Department of Chemical Engineering before passing away in 2001. Scholarship funds provided by friends and family of Dr. Guerriere. Scholarship to be awarded annually to a Ryerson graduate pursuing post-graduate studies.

They donated $30 000 to create the Fairchild Public Affairs Award to benefit RTA students who demonstrate an awareness and understanding of ethnic, social or political issues. Two scholarships of $3000 each are to be awarded annually. Pictured are RTA professor Jerry Good; then acting RTA chair Robert Gardner; Fairchild Radio Station manager Gary Nobody; and Fairhchild chief operating officer Calvin Wong. Ernie certificate presentation

File contains photographs taken during the presentation of a certificate to Ronald Alexander (aka Ernie the hot dog man). Not clear as to what Ernie is being presented the certificate for, but Ryerson President Sheldon Levy and VP University Advancement Adam Kahan are in the pictures with Ernie. Ernie sold hot dogs on the Ryerson campus for 25 years and gave $25 000 dollars to Ryerson to fund a bursary for students. He retired in 2006. Ernie died in 2008 at the age of 80. There are also 3 pictures that appear to be unrelated - feature a reception of some sort and a man with violins in the background.

Entrepreneur alumni night - Allan Slaight

File contains photographs taken at entreneur alumni night. Speaker was Allan Slaight of Slaight Communications. Mr. Slaight donated money to Ryerson University to support the Start Me Up Ryerson student business plan competition at the Ted Rogers School of Management.

Bruce Elder research grant

Bruce Elder was the co-winner of the 2000 Sarwan Sahota Distinguished Scholar Award and gave the talk as part of a series sponsered by the Office of Research Services. Pictures include shots of the lecture and group shots that include then dean of Communication and Design Ira Levine, Bruce Elder, then acting dean of Graduate Studies Rena Mendelson, then acting associate Vice President Academic Judith Sandys, and co-director of the Communication and Culture graduate program Don Gillies. Eaton donation

Donation culminated in the naming of the Sally Horsfall Eaton Centre for Studies in Community Health - an addition added to the existing Palin Hall located on Gerrard Street.
