The Physical Reorganization Committee was formed as a result of the Chief Librarian's Library Paradigm paper. Its mandate was to determine the most suitable location for periodicals, monographs and service points and to develop a plan to make the moves. After fulfilling its mandate, the Committee disbanded in March, 1992 and was restructured into three new committees charged with implementing the actual reorganization (Reference Floor under Sue Giles; Periodicals Floor under Eva Friesen; and Stacks under Lucia Martin). The records in this collection record are those of Archivist Claude Doucet, who was a member of the Physical Reorganization Committee. See collection record RG 427.1 (Library Paradigm / Library Reorganization under the Chief Librarian Group) for additional records and further information.
File also contains a report on the 21st annual workshop on instruction in library use, "Skills for Change." This workshop was geared towards teaching students skills such as critical thinking, computer literacy, communication and information literacy.
