This fonds contains documents produced by the Department of History commencing in 1967. Grouped into 4 distinct series (Administrative and Internal Records, Lecture Series and Guest Seminars, Posters and Graphic Material, and Photographs), the fonds contains a wide array of textual records, posters and a small collection of photographs. Documents regarding internal memorandums and correspondence, guest lectures, speeches, job postings, posters for lecture series, and photographs of some of the department faculty can be found within this fonds.

Administrative and Internal Records

This series contains documents and records related to the administration and internal communications of the Department of History during the years of 1967-2012. The series has been divided into four files - course syllabi, correspondence, curriculum vitae, and job postings

Course Syllabi

This file contains 5 course syllabuses from the Department of History from the 1975-76 academic year. 3 of the courses are based on Canadian history, while 1 is based on Chinese history and the final one is focused around the "Third World".

This series contains documents and records created by the history department which pertain to specific lecture series and guest lecturers and seminars. The two primary sub-series are Ryerson Lectures in the History of Technology, and the International Issues Discussion series. Documents range from the 1970's to 2010.

Ryerson Lectures in the History of Technology

Subseries contains posters, invitations and announcements in relation to the "History of Technology" lecture series. The lecture series frequently hosted guest lecturers from around the world to give talks about how technology impacted certain aspects of our lives or events in history.

International Issues Series

The International Issues Discussion (IID) series is a student-led forum designed to engage all members of the university community on major events and issues in contemporary global affairs through reasoned, objective, and scholarly discourse. It is a strictly non-partisan, unaffiliated, and apolitical group that welcomes all students to get involved and further their understanding of the world today.The IID was founded in 2005 by two Ryerson students and two faculty members, Dr. Arne Kislenko (History) and Dr. Dale Carl (Business). File includes published materials, brochures, emails, and posters and has been divided into 2 sub-series: Textual records and Posters
