Series consists of materials transferred in the Archives holdings in the 1970s and left in piles on shelving units. No original order was apparent. After viewing materials it was discerned that the best course of action was to maintain existing files, arrange loose papers with file numbers into order by file number, and arrange by topic for those items that have no file numbers.

1/1 Miscellaneous

File contains correspondence, memos on policy of elective courses, on the Applied Arts Division departments, , on timetabling and a miscellania of other matters.

1/2 Curriculum

File contains guidelines for conducting lab classes, memo on a curriculum proposal from the Department of Business and Technical Communication and correspondence.

1/5 Interior Design

File contains a list of Interior Design courses offered in the Fall of 1975, a memo on calendar changes, outline of the Migrating Student Course and correspondence. Included in the file is a 1975-76 Interior Design calendar.

1/7 Library Arts

File contains a memo on a proposed degree program for Library Arts, curriculum information, outline of some difficulties in the evening studies and correspondence. Included in the file there is a memo regarding the Academic Plan and Library Arts, list of course titles and the Library Arts Program.

File contains correspondence on a proposal for a Graphic Arts Management degree program.

1/6 Journalism

File contains a paper on Goals of Journalism Department, memos on course changes and course electives, typing and advanced editing course for jounalism students and correspondence. Included is a pamphlet on Journalism at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute.

File contains information on program changes in the Fashion Department, course outline, copy of a press release and correspondence. Included in the file is a Fashion Department staff survival guide.

File contains an R.T.A. - E.C.E. course proposal, a Radio and Television Arts Department Student Handbook, course change summary report form, correspondence regarding a proposal to drop certain R.T.A. Social Science options, electives, R.T.A. admissions policy and other matters related to the R.T.A. department. Included is an address entitle "Superficiality and Responsibility in Broadcasting" by Ron Keast and some brochures.

File contains a report on the possible cooperation between the Theatre Department and the Opera School of the Faculty of Music of the University of Toronto, correspondence and a brochure.

Included are policies regarding booking of institute facilities and overtime compensation for support staff.

File also contains memos and correspondence regarding probationary students, graduation portraits, interprovincial second-language monitor program and other matter related to students in general. A press release about the presentation at the Ryerson Theater by Le Treteau de Paris with Le Roi Se Meurt is included in this file.
