Item is a folded, mailable souvenir package with 12 images highlighting the services offered by the United Services Centre in Winnipeg. This centre was for military personnel duing Word War II.
One green ration book (Book 2, belonged to John Albert Elgie) and one brown ration book (Book 4, belonged to Maggie Elgie). Each contains stamps for rationed items during World War Two. Book 2 describes items as Spare A, B or G, but in Book 4 these classes were replaced by descriptions of the actual items ie. Meat, Tea or Coffee. Some stamps are missing from each.
Item consists of a wooden disk with the logo of the Great Canadian Beef Co., formally located at 145 Mutual Street in Toronto. The token appears to be for a meal, with the value of $1.00 printed on the back of the token.
