OPSEU Collective Agreement negotiations summary and Pay Equity records

The file consists of a Human Resources memo summarizing the main negotiations of the ratified OPSEU Collective Agreement for July 1992 to June 1994 ; Factor Definitions relevant to the agreement ; pay equity equivalents of OPSEU female dominated positions to those of male dominated positions ; and Appendices G and H of the same OPSEU Collective Agreement.

Joint Job Evaluation System

The job evaluation system was the procedure to review and evaluate each position within OPSEU for pay equity for similarly valued work using a point system. The system and plan were to ensure internal job equity within OPSEU and to be in adherence to the Ontario Pay Equity Act, 1987. Equal pay for equal work.

Job Evaluation Plan

The Job Evaluation Plan is the guide to evaluate each OPSEU job position by their subfactors. The subfactors are weighted on a scale to determinate the value of the positions for equal pay for equal work.
