Gorki Leninskie = Lenin's Hills [moving image]

The film recounts the life and work of V. I. Lenin from fall 1918 to January 1924 by taking the viewer through a tour of his residence, popularly known as Lenin's Hills. The film focuses on the scenery as it follows guided tours through the property, rooms and parks, including the main building and guest houses, their exterior and interior. The film also introduces the major events of Lenin's life in that period, and shows some of Lenin's personal possessions. Live footage of Lenin, his funeral and photographs, are incorporated into the production.

Lenin Five Year Plan commemorative bronze medal

Commemorative bronze medal with portrait of Vladimir Illyich Lenin and a laurel branch on recto. Emblem of Lenin's side profile above Russian text on verso. The title on the verso reads: Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR. The Order of Lenin was awarded on occasion of the successful completion of the Five Year Plan and the organized production of new technologies. The names of the chairperson and secretary of the presidium, the location "Moscow, Kremlin" and the date are listed at the bottom.

Set of seven small posters in a book format, depicting Lenin with groups of children, most in a winter/festive setting. The drawings are by Soviet artist Nikolai Zhukov. The author of the stories was Aleksandra Terent'yevicha Kononova, the author of the text was Boris Polevoy and the design was by Yu. Kopeyko. The editor was K. Nazarova, the design editor was G. Kryukova, the technical editor was N. Zhitenyova and the corrector was N. P'yankova. It was published in Moscow. Both 1986 and 1988 are listed as the dates of creation.

Lenin note card with insert celebrating 60th Anniversary of October Revolution

Note card with gold border, bearing image of Lenin against background of large numbers that read "1917". Back cover and interior bear Russian text. Interior also bears Lithuanian text. Recto reads: "Our pathway of communism!" The inside text brings Great October Socialist Revolution holiday greetings. The insert, written in Lithuanian, is addressed to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Lithuania and the Construction of the City Economy Deputy Head H. Puskunigiui. It reads: "Sincere greetings to you on the occasion of the Jubilee of the Great October. We wish you new creative achievements at work, good health, a festive mood. TSO Republican Chair of the Association A. Baltusis" A. Baltusis' signature is beneath this message. The artwork on the recto was created by painter V. Ivanov in Moscow in 1977.

The film is constructed as a montage of documentary photographs and film clips, taken during and after V. I. Lenin's life. There is footage of the memorable places where Lenin lived and worked, as well as significant places associated with Lenin after his death, including the Mausoleum and archives of the Marxism-Leninism University. The film includes personal accounts of people close to Lenin, including Anatoly Vasilyevich Lunacharsky, Maxim Gorki, Gleb Krijanovski, sculptor Aronson, Mayakovski, John Reed, Sergey Esenin, Nadezda Krupskaya, Bertram Russell and more recollections of Lenin's colleagues. The film also briefly displays footage of Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw's visit to the USSR in the 1930s. The Brest-Litovsk agreement and the Civil War situation in Russia are mentioned. The film concludes with praise of Lenin's importance to every person in the vast Soviet Union.

Lenin: stranitsy biografii = Lenin: pages of the biography [moving image]

The film contains many photographs of V. I. Lenin at different points in his life, and it has detailed information of Lenin's life and work from childhood to his last days. The first part of the film shows significant places in Lenin's childhood in Ulyanovsk, including his family home. The film also documents locations in St. Petersburg (night panorama), Kazan city, the Kremlin, Kokushkino village, burlaks on the Volga river, Samara city, and footage of ordinary farmers working the fields. Part two opens with the poor district of St. Petersburg where Lenin moved, photographs of leading workers of the St. Petersburg revolutionary movement, and the police cell where Lenin spent 14 months before transfer to the village of Shushenskoye, where he was briefly exiled from 1897-1900. The film discusses and displays original writings of Lenin, inlcuding his published books "The Development of Capitalism in Russia", "What Is to Be Done?", and "April Theses". There is also footage of the building that housed the fist Russian revolutionary newspaper Iskra(=Spark), with photos of the agents of the newspaper: Nikolai Bauman, Ivan Babushkin, Mikhail Kalinin, Elena Stasova, Dmitri Ulyanov Maxim Litvinov, Natalya Zemlyachko, Anna Ulyanova-Elizarova, Maria Ulyanova. Part three begins with the rebellion at Potemkin and shows places where Lenin lived abroad, including Geneva and Paris, followed by images of the building in Prague where the sixth All Russian Congress took place. There are also images of the building where the 1st issue of Pravda(=Truth), the leading Soviet newspaper from 1912-1991, was published. Images of Bloody Sunday are displayed, and images of events following the first World War in 1914 include Lenin's role in revolution of 1917, the arrest of Tsar Nicolas II and the destruction of royal symbols in Russia. The film mentions an assassination attempt on Lenin's life. Facts about the transition to Soviet government are introduced, addressing the very difficult conditions in a new country together with Civil War and the first World War. Film has footage of Lenin's speech from a balcony of the Mossoviet building about the necessity of military education for Soviet people. Then the film recounts of last months of Lenin's life and his death, concluding with praise for Lenin's politics, his genius and the present Soviet supremacy.

The Russian word appears on the banner. This banner provides the rules of the Little Octobrists: they will be pioneers; they will like school and respect their elders; only those who enjoy work will be called Little Octobrists; they are to be truthful, courageous, dexterous and skillful; and they are to read, draw, play, sing and live happily. Little Octobrist is a Soviet term that first appeared in 1923-1924, and at that time referred to children born in 1917, the year of the October revolution. Later, the term was used as the name of a youth organization for children between 7 and 9 years of age. After the age of nine, Little Octobrists would typically join the Young Pioneer organization for ages 9 to 14, after which they joined the Komsomol organization for ages 14 to 28.Little Octobrists were organized in groups by grade level that were divided into subgroups called little stars, of 5 children each. Each group was under the leadership of one Young Pioneer. Every Little Octobrist wore a ruby-coloured five-pointed star badge with the portrait of Vladimir Illyich Lenin in his childhood. The symbol of the group was the little red flag.

In smaller text it reads, "For us, as never before, more light isneeded, so that the party and people know all, so that we won't have dark corners, where would again start up the mold, all of that with which we are now led a decisive struggle and are far from completion. Therefore - more light!" This quote is indicated to be from materials from the Plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union dated January 1987. The poster was produced in Moscow. The editors were M. Nedkova and I. Pechkin and the artistic editor was Yu. Leonov.

Beneath that text reads a quote attributed to V. I. Lenin: Union Communist youth should be a shock group, which through any work demonstrates its help, exerts its iniative, its handsel. Beneath that reads: All-Union Lenin (adj.) Communist Union of Youth.

October Revolution 60 years commemorative medal

It was published in Kyiv. The authors were Tamila Semenivna Zhurbyts'ka and Nina Oleksiyivna Andrusych, designer was Mykola Arkadiyovych Uspens'kyy and the editor was N. H. Shyshkina. The head editor was V. F. Hozha, the Associate editors were Ya. A. Lemeshenko and A. V. Sabadash, the design editor was M. M. Yakushchenko, the technical editor was Z. C. Onyshchuk and the correctors were E. P. Braslavs'ka and N. S.Mytsyk.
