President's Development Task Force

The President's Development Task Force was announced in December, 1975 by President Walter Pitman. Pitman declared that a series of task forces was necessary to develop "a whole battery of academic activities which would have positive financial implications for Ryerson while enabling us to serve society more fully. Strategy Study on Ryerson Polytechnical Institute

As part of the requirements for successful completion of the MBA programme at York University, groups of students are required to study an organization and prepare a report on the its strategy and policy. Permission was granted by President Brian Segal for a group of students to study Ryerson. A copy of the final report was submitted to Ryerson.

RG 12.78.02 Swivel desk chair believed to have been used by Egerton Ryerson during his years at St. James Square as Ontario’s Chief Superintendent of Education. Brown leather upholstery with open back spindle design. Four legs on casters. 35" high

Fred Jorgenson

Framed photograph of Ryerson President Fred Jorgenson. Mr. Jorgenson was Ryerson's president from 1966 - 1969. Small silver plaque attached to bottom of the frame.

Terry Grier

Framed photograph of Ryerson president Terry Grier. Mr. Grier served under the title president and vice-chancellor after Ryerson achieved University status in 1993. He served from 1988 - 1995.

"Ryerson Honours Chancellor David Crombie" video

A brief (7:40 minutes) retrospect of David Crombie's life and career at Ryerson, presented at a farewell reception celebrating the end of Crombie's term as Ryerson's first Chancellor. Terry Grier, Al Wargo, Lynda Friendly and Claude Lajeunesse gave brief personal comments about the individual, David Crombie.The Ryerson Archives was given credit for the use of archival material about Ryerson and David Crombie.Because this was a joint production of the President's Office and the Office of University Advancement, a decision was made to co-arrange under both Groups. SuperBuild Presentation oversized novelty cheque

Oversized novelty cheque actually signed by Dianne Cunningham, Minister of Training, College and Universities, was presented to Ryerson from the Ontario SuperBuild program, in the amount of $12.5 million dollars.

Award to Gosha Zywno letter and photograph

Letter of congratulations and an 8 x 10 colour photograph of Malgorzata Zywno, Electrical Engineering faculty member, from the Center for the Advancement ofTeaching and Learning, Jacksonville, Florida. Gosha Zywno was a recipient of an "Award for Innovative Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Technology", presented at the Fifteenth International Conference on College Teaching and Learning.
