Published works

Series contains published materials created by or about the Wellesley Hospital. Included in the series are 2 copies of the book written by Hospital founder Dr. Herbert Bruce, 2 copies of the Wellesley Hospital history book written by Joan Hollobon, and numerous magazines and newsletters written by Wellesley Hospital for the staff and the general public.

Textual Records

Series consists of unpublished textual records produced as a result of the day-to-day operations of Kodak Canada from 1896 to 2005. Records pertain to the company's corporate operations, financials, plant, equipment, and supplies, communications, human resources and industrial relations activities, employee activities, and Heritage Collection and Museum. Series includes notes, correspondence, ledger and account books, financial statements, reports, recipes and instructions, contracts and agreements, publication drafts and mock-ups, lists and inventories, and other manuscript, typescript, and computer-created textual materials produced by Kodak Canada employees, contractors, and correspondents.

Convocation and Awards Nights records

Records consists of convocation programmes, transcripts of speeches/addresses, photographs, invitations, cassette/reel-to-reel tapes, correspondence and miscellaneous related documentation.

During the 1950s, convocation preparations were arranged by a Convocation Committee. Academic Council assumed responsibility in the 1960s until early 1980s, when the Information Services Department took over.

November 1986 the Department of Community Relations was established, incorporating Information Services, thereby assuming the responsibility of Convocation arrangements until 1995 when University Advancement took over until 2007. In 2008 the Office of Convocation and Awards assumed responsibility.

News Bulletin

Series contains 6 volumes of the School's News Bulletin published by the Information Services Department. Newsletter contains stories about campus events, people, and school business.
The series has been divided into 6 files based on volume.

Ryerson scenes and events photographs

Series consists of photographs created by/for the office of Information Services showing various events, programs, campus, and buildings on campus. Also included are scripts to slide shows the images were used in.

Fundraising Campaigns

This Series contains correspondence and promotional materials related to the "Invest in Futures" fundraising campaign launched Thursday, May 13, 2004, Ron Besse as campaign chair, held at 43 Gerrard St E. Officially closed June 30, 2006, with continued contributions up to December 2008.

Unsorted material

Series consists of materials transferred in the Archives holdings in the 1970s and left in piles on shelving units. No original order was apparent. After viewing materials it was discerned that the best course of action was to sort material by subject.

Series contains records related to awards won by the SLC construction project.

Alumni Association Executive Committee and Board of Directors minutes

From 1951 to 1969 the Alumni Association was managed by an Executive Council and committee. In the Fall of 1969 the Association changed direction and established a Board of Directors consisting of the Presidents and Vice-Presidents of all accredited course and regional associations or their delegates. Documents indicate that an Executive Committee still existed within the newly created Board, although now playing a supporting role.

Atkinson Lecture Series materials

The Atkinson Lecture series , established in 1974, came from a $50,000 grant obtained by Doug MacFarlane, then chairperson of the Journalism Department, from the Atkinson Foundation. The Atkinson Foundation was established to commemorate the late Joseph E. Atkinson, publisher of The Star from 1899-1948. The lecture series was intended to bring journalists to Ryerson to examine the role and relationships of media in today's society. The series, initially held twice a year, had its first lecture December 4, 1974.
Series contains materials created in relation to the lecture series. Included are posters, correspondence, and taped recordings of the lectures.

Information Technology Management

Series consists of three sub-series - general program information, faculty and staff, and students.
The School of Information Technology changed the name of its' degree in 2011 - changing from a Bachelor of Information Technology Management to a Bachelor of Business Technology Management. The name of the school remained the same.
