Booklet contains reprinted, from the Canadian Historical Review, letters between Egerton Ryerson and Hugh Scobie in 1844 and 1846 that are held in the Archives of Victoria College, University of Toronto. The letters themselves are political in nature and were written just before the elections in 1844 and 1846. The book's forward is written by C. B. Sissons.

Folk Recovery Archive

The series consists of the files from the Folk Recovery archive. The oral history project was created by Kejo Buchanan, host of the Jali Journey program on CJRU. Folk Recovery is an oral history project designed to highlight and celebrate Black, Indigenous, Asian and all racialized storytellers and their contributions to the Canadian folk sound.

Item is a Graflex Crown Graphic 4 x 5 camera designed for hand held use. This model was a more lightweight version of the Speed Graphic. The camera's serial number is 921216.

Bolex H 16 Movie Camera

Item is a Paillard-Bolex Model H16 camera that uses 16mm film. Has original carrying case with lens accessories, and an octameter viewfinder. Camera is hand-wound with crank and has spring motor. Turret for three standard C mount lenses. Optical type viewfinder with adjustable dial. Includes 2 take up spools, one for 50ft and one for 100ft of film.

Zeiss Ikon Deckrullo-Nettel

Item is a Zeiss Ikon Deckrullo-Nettel folding/bellows plate camera. The Deckrullo-Nettel is an improved model of the Nettel. The strut mechanism is characteristic of Nettel, and gives variable bellows extension for focusing, with a focus knob on the left side. The end of one of the struts appears as the pointer on a focus scale, in a slot in the top of the body. The camera also has a wire frame finder.

Wollensak Revere 35mm f/3.5 lens

Item is a lens for a Revere Stereo 33 camera. This type of lens is unique as two lenses simultaneously expose two frames at once. The resulting images can then be inserted into a stereoscope which results in a three dimensional image, similar to using binoculars. Comes with a piece of paper that indicates the lens is defective on time.

Professional and press cameras

Series contains cameras designed to fulfill specific, professional functions such as surveying, aerial photography, studio portraits and press work. These cameras are often the best items in the manufacturers line, offering more features and a sturdier construction than their amateur counterparts.

LRC newsletter

File contains the inaugural issue of the LRC newsletter. Its purpose was to impart information about the activities of the Library and Research Centre (LRC) and to provide a forum for the writings of people who worked in the LRC; to profile individual employees; publish original short fiction and non-fiction; report relevant activities of RFA, OPSEU and the LRC administration; and publish other news and information that the readership would find interesting.

GIS Day

The Library's Geospatial Map & Data Centre collaborated with the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies to participate in global GIS Day, promoting the field and sharing information. Ryerson first hosted this event in 2014.

Frank G. Sommers director interviews

Fonds contains the text and audio records of interviews conducted by Dr. Frank Sommers with European and Canadian film directors Marianne Ahrne, walerian Browczyk, Bert Haanstra, Claude Jutra, Ettore Scola, and Alain Tanner between 1978 and 1979. Photographs, press clippings, and promotional texts related to films directed by the interviewees are also included.
