This role's purpose was to find alternatives to "surrender provisions" used in claim settlements and was initiated in response to a special report by the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples. Included in the file are "Extinguishing Extinguishment: Bringing an Era to an End" presented by Ovide Mercredi in his role as National Chief of Assembly of First Nations; copies of background paper "Achieving Certainty in Comprehensive Land Claims Settlements"; correspondence; and other materials related to this research.

XV Olympic Winter Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies

File contains two copies of the XV Olympic Winter Opening Ceremony (40 pages each) and two copies of the XV Olympic Winter Closing Ceremony (24 pages each). The Opening Ceremony publication highlights the behind the scenes as Calgary prepares for the Olympics, sews costume, music and choreography, and some highlights from the actual event. The Closing Ceremony publication covers the three Acts presented to show contemporary skating in Canada (Act I), skating in Canadian history (Act II) and modern spin on cowboy themed skating performance (Act III). There is also a final section on Canadian Olympic figure skaters (singles and pairs) who have won medals. All of the Publications are printed in French and English.

The 2006 edition only contains a delegate list, the 2007 edition holds a guide and a delegate list, and the 2016 edition is a final report.

The workshop on participatory communication and social change was presented to The Canadian Red Cross Youth Volunteer Summer Program by the Development Communication Group August 24 - 28, 1998.
