Voluntarism - Pre Conference Reports

File contains copies of the issues papers written for the "A New Era in Voluntarism" conference. Papers were circulated to conference delegates to prepare them for the concurrent working sessions at the conference. Also in the file are blank registration confirmation form letters and a listing of confirmed attendees as of Feb. 7, 1986.

Fellow's Program in Banking

File contains calendars, brochures and related materials for the Fellows' Program in Banking offered by the Management Development Institute and the Institute of Canadian Bankers. After the dissolution of MDI, the program continued under the Continuing Education division.

Egerton Ryerson Day

File contains materials concerning the event held to celebrate Egerton Ryerson's birthday on March 24, 1992. Included are tickets, brochures, walking tour script, and a schedule of events. Event was co-ordinated by Cara Scott, of Oakham House, and Pam Hitchcock, of Senior Studies'.

Shirley Shipman Memorial Lecture Announcements

The Shirley Shipman Memorial Lectures began in 2006 after the Shipman family established a fund in her memory to support an annual lecture series on topics of social justice and life long learning. Shirley Shipman was a founding member of the LIFE Institute and the co-chairperson of the curriculum committee.

Recording Recollections publication

Short stories of memories by senior students. Once produced as a small publication two or three times per year, more recently as an more profession end-year publication. First offered in Continuing Education, the course was established and taught by Greta Wood until her retirement in 1996. The final publication was printed in 2015. The course is still offered, but the format changed and they no longer publish.

Series contains textual and audiovisual materials relating to Ryerson's Women's week activiites. Series is divided into two files:

AATO Certificates: Technicians and Technologists proposal

File contains a proposal for the Association of Architectural Technologists of Ontario (AATO). Proposal is that graduates of Ryerson's Continuing Education advanced certificate program in Architectural Technology be granted technician certification with the AATO - provided they have also completed the 6 years of work experience.
Included with the report is a letter from the acting chairman of Technology to the AATO outlining possible changes to Ryerson's program to make this possible.

Continuing Education Awards Committee: Chairman's records

File contains records maintained by the chairman of the Continuing Education Awards Committee. Included is general information, information on award winners, honours awards, Walter Pitman scholarship, Hans Johansen award, Abbie E. Hatton memorial award, CESAR scholarship, Gold Medal, Transportation Economics award, student aid, Industrial Management club award, George Korey medals, and the Ophthalmic Dispensing awards.

Women and Politics conference materials

File contains materials relating to the Women and Politics conference which was co-sponsered by Ryerson's Continuing Education division. Materials include conference preparation materials including program drafts, correspondence, grant applications, meeting minutes, and newspaper clippings. Also included is correspondence, financials, and supporting materials from other conferences. Also included are sets of video and audio cassettes. Series consists of four files:
