File includes original contracts, dated December 28, 1938, and correspondence (1940-1964) between Canadian Kodak Co., Ltd. and Canadian Kodak Sales Limited. Contracts pertain to the sale and transfer of vending rights of Kodak products from Canadian Kodak Co. to Canadian Kodak Sales Limited. Correspondence pertain to the terms of the original agreements. Canadian Kodak Sales Ltd. was incorporated on December 1, 1938 and acted as the distributing agent of Kodak products in Canada, thereby limiting Canadian Kodak's role to one of strict manufacturing.

Also included is a photocopied letter to then-general manager of Canadian Kodak, John G. Palmer, from an officer of the 2nd Battalion regarding the transfer of J[ames] W. Spence from England to France. Spence was an active executive member of Canadian Kodak Co., Ltd., eventually acting as chairman of the board from 1955-1957.

Objects originally intended for the Kodak Heritage Museum have been indicated in the notes field of the record. Subjects include: promotional posters from Kodak's The Techniques of the Masters Videoconference Series, advertising campaigns and Kodak slogans printed on posters, historical images of Kodak cameras, and medical imaging posters from the Health Sciences Division of Eastman Kodak Company. Also included are a group of large-scale foamcore posters of Kodak Heights operations reproduced from glass plate negatives in the collection.

Information contained within the binders was created and distributed on a subscription basis by Eastman Kodak Company. Subscribers would receive periodic updates of information, which could be added to the binders over time.

File contains two logbooks detailing the daily production activities of Kodak Canada from 1947 to 1955 and from 1960 to 1962. The latter logbook, labelled as the "Paper Ctg. Day Book," records the activities of the paper manufacturing department of Kodak Canada. Though unidentified, the former logbook likely pertains to the same department.

Records likely belonged to Bonnie Chapman, who worked both in Corporate Communications and Public Affairs and as the Curator of the Kodak Heritiage Collection and Museum.

This includes: awards and certificates received by Kodak Canada; records related to Kodak's involvement in the Creative Artists in the Schools program; a Kodak School Programs "Focus on Education" package; records related to the Kodak Chair in Photography at Ryerson; proceedings from "Education and Work: the International Conference Linking Research and Practice", sponsored by Kodak; a document from A Year in Motion soliciting Kodak sponsorship; records related to the Photographic Historical Society of Canada; and a flyer for a retrospective exhibition for PhotoSensitive, a photographic artist collective sponsored by Kodak.

File contains records pertaining to the Kodak Chair in Photography at Ryerson University from 1986 to 1987. The program was establishedin 1986 with a five-year endowment granted to Ryerson to bring internationally-known lecturers to the school's degree programs in Film, Media Arts and photography. Items include: correspondence between Kodak Canada and Eastman Kodak regarding the former's relationship with Ryerson; Ryerson press releases; a transcript of a speech given by Kodak Canada president, Ron Morrison; and various Ryerson memos and proposals regarding the shape and scope of the program.

Item is a booklet of compiled documents presented to Kodak Canada Inc. in order to solicit their sponsorship of the publication of "Calgary: a year in focus." The publication, timed to coincide with the 1988 Calgary Olympic Games, was the second in a series of publications intended to showcase major Canadian cities.

Item is an invitation to the opening of the exhibition Looking Back: a PhotoSensitive Retropective 1990 to 1998, produced by photographic artist collective PhotoSensitive. The opening was held at the Network Gallery in Toronto on May 4, 1998. Kodak is a sponsor of the collective.
