Includes early photo-booth images as well as a variety of snapshots documenting family life and recreational activities throughout rural Ontario in the early twentieth century. This series contains photographic albums, b&w negatives and prints, colour negatives and prints, colour slides, glass plate negatives and transparencies originating from the Kodak Canada Corporate Archives and Heritage Collection. These materials were used both as forms of documentation of the history of the company at various sites including Kodak Heights, Brampton, Montreal and Vancouver, as well as functioned as a working collection to use for promotional efforts. Highlights include: documentation of the construction of the Kodak Heights site circa 1915 in a series of commissioned albums and loose prints; documentation of the various operations related to the photographic and moving image industry including paper, film, and camera production and processing; marketing campaigns for digital initiatives; and a reference slide collection used by the Kodak Canada Corporation.
Photographic materials have been organized by format and within by the order created when processed in 2005. This arrangement was loosely based on the Kodak Canada's original organization of the files in their archives index. Files of photographs organized by the Kodak Canada Archives Index associated with the collection have been kept together, with the individual file numbers and index titles referenced in the Notes field of each record. Previously assigned reference numbers are indicated in the Archivist's Comments fields.

A photographic album that documents the construction of the first Kodak Heights buildings during 1913-1915. Each gelatin silver photograph is the same size and contains an inscribed caption in the lower right corner of each print. This album includes images of the construction of Kodak Heights building no. 7 as well as miscellaneous construction subjects such as reservoirs, chimneys, and the plant nursery. Index tabs are: 6, 7, MISC.
Album is arranged according to building or site with prints ordered chronologically within each section, presenting a detailed progression of the building projects from start to finish.
The verso of a print in the Misc. section is stamped in ink with: Noted W.S. Austin.

Item is the original patent (#22351) granted on September 2, 1885 by the Commissioner of Patents, Dominion of Canada, to George Eastman and William Hall Walker of Rochester, NY, for "improvements in roll holders, for exposing flexible sensitive photographic films." Item includes textual specifications and diagrams of the proposed improvements. Prior to patenting the innovation in Canada, Eastman and Walker were granted a similar patent (#317049) by the United States patent office on May 5, 1885.
