Cube house, Sumach street

Photographs of the exterior of a building under construction, and two interior views looking out through the steel support beams, designed with 3 cubes balanced on their points on a rectangular concrete base. The idea was licensed from Dutch architect Piet Blom by Toronto entrepreneur Ben Kutner. Designed from prefabricated steel and glass, the houses were supposed to take advantage of otherwise unusable property space in Toronto like laneways and rooftops. The house has since been abandoned and the cubes are used for commercial signage.

File contains three copies of the paper "Patriotic Entertainments and National Identity in Toronto in the Boer War and World War I" presented at the International Symposium on Popular Entertainment as a reflection of national identity. The Conference was held in New York City October 8-12, 1987. The conference was presented by the American Society for Theatre Research, the Society of Dance History Scholars, and the Theatre Library Association in co-operation with the International Federation for Theatre Research. Also in the file is correspondence, registration information, acceptance letter, publication information, a schedule of events, participant list, and conference proceeedings.

Contained in a University of Colorado paper folder is an abstract and attached paper "The Saint John Project: The National Film Board of Canada's "Challenge for Change" Program Revisited" by Robert Scott. The paper was presented at the McBride Round Table in Communication conference - Global Media and Global Responsibility: A Time to Choose. The round table was held at the University of Colourado, Boulder October 1-2, 1997. Also in folder are conference details, a list of other places Robert Scott presented about the Saint John project, and background articles about the project.

The convention was held June 19-22, 2014 Ryerson University. Also in the file are the conference proceedings, and correspondence.

File contains 2 copies of the keynote address delivered by Robert Scott to The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers at the 14th International Television Conference. The Conference was held in Toronto on February 1, 1980. Also in the file is thank you letter from the President of the Society for his participation.

Three brochures for the Photographic Arts Media and Communication course (PTM023-033-043) offered from July 5-July 24 1982(?) at Ryerson's Blue Mountain Lodge. The course counted as a credit towards the students Photographic Arts degree. Robert Scott designed, organized and helped teach the three week course.

Yorkvillism is a book created by Ryerson University, Lifetime Developments and the Toronto Star. Book features photographs by Ryerson Image Arts students Eriver Hijano, Arthur Mola, Renee Mun, Andrew B. Myers, Eugen Sakhnenko, and Andrew Williamson. Book was created to highlight Yorkville and was a juried competition - with Arthur Mola as the winner, runner up Andrew Williamson, and honourable mention to Andrew B. Myers.

Topics include microscopic photography, underwater photography, microfilm and reproduction films and papers (RAR film, Pan film, Ektaline paper, and Linograph paper), geophysical recording, instrumentation films, spectrum analysis, schlieren photography, and darkroom construction for industrial use. Also included is the "Kodak Job Sheet Packet", which outlines techniques for handling problems that arise in industrial photography.

This historic 3-storey brick building in Vancouver's Chinatown district was partially destroyed by fire in 1972. The façade was preserved as a free-standing frame and the building behind it was demolished and re-built in 1973. It is an early example of Chinatown's distinctive architecture, typical of other buildings on Pender Street. It was used by importers, merchants, restaurants and clan associations and is sometimes also referred to as the Lee Building for its association with businessman Ron Bick Lee.

The HSBC Canada Building is a 23-storey office tower in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. It is located at 885 West Georgia Street. It houses HSBC Canada's headquarters. The skyscraper was originally built, on the site of the former Hotel Devonshire, as the headquarters of the Bank of British Columbia in 1987 by WZMH Architects. The building's lobby features a gigantic magnetically induced pendulum artwork.

Vancouver, BC Electric building

The Electra Building in Vancouver, British Columbia was built in 1957 as the new headquarters for the BC Electric Company, under its president Dal Grauer. A few days after Grauer's death in 1961, it became part of a new provincial crown corporation named BC Hydro. The 21 story, 89 m (293 ft), building was designed by architect, Ronald Thom. At the time it was claimed to be the tallest building in the Commonwealth, although this was not true. After BC Hydro moved to new offices in Vancouver and Burnaby in the late 1990s, the building was sold, and in 1998, was renovated and converted primarily into residential condo space.

In 1971 a feasibility study investigated the possibility of demolishing the existing church and placing it in the body of a multi-storied high rise complex designed by Arthur Erickson. Although the redevelopment was supported by the majority of the
congregation, it was opposed by the public, and after much lobbying, in 1976 the cathedral was named a
Heritage building in the municipality of Vancouver and the Province of British Columbia. Architecture firm on the project was Erikson/Massey Architects of Vancouver, B.C.
