Item is a leather-covered aluminum-bodied folding-bed camera for filmpacks. The bed folds down but not to a full 90 degree angle. The bellows are black and there is no track on the bed but the front standard fits into two slots at the front, one for objects 6 to 20 feet away and the other for objects that are further than 20 feet away. The camera is still in the original packaging with the accompanying instruction manual. The camera uses a ball bearing lens.

C. White Company of North Bennington, Vermont, that initially manufactured stereoscopes. In about 1915, the Keystone View Company took over production of the Radioptican, which continued to be widely used for educational purposes.

Plates are wrapped in tissue. Box is three-style enclosure. The Stanley Dry Plate Company was purchased by Eastman Kodak in 1904, and this box shows the Kodak branding, dating them after 1904. Found inside original cardboard packaging with rolled up sheet of instructions and a folded paper with an advertisement for "Titleit", a service provided by Burke & James, Inc. for marking negatives with typed titles.

The packages are stamped with develop by dates: Nov 1934, Nov 1935, Dec 1935.

(Exterior of box is printed in English only.) The second box gives directions to process before May 1986.

Premo cameras were manufactured by Rochester Optical and Camera company, which was bought out by Eastman Kodak in 1903. Date based on inscription: "Manufactured by Eastman Kodak Co. successor to Rochester Optical Co. Rochester, N.Y., U.S.A. Canada 25-03 British Pat. Apr. 21-03 France Pat. Apr. 18-03 German C.R.P. June 7 - 1905 U.S.A. Pat. May 19-03." (Eastman Kodak changed the name of the Rochester Optical Company to the Rochester Optical Division in 1907). Inscription on outside of metal back, "Premo film pack adapter."
Yellow filter metal holder is printed with "KODAK SERIES V ADAPTER RING1 1/16 IN. - 27 mm. MADE IN USA", and the filter metal ring is printed with "SERIES V WRATTEN FILTER K2 MADE IN USA." "KODAK" is molded into the top of the yellow and black plastic screw-top filter case.
