February 26, 1994 playoff tickets: For the first time in Ryerson's history the Ryerson Rams men's basketball team played host to their first semi-final playoff game in the OUAA East Division. Ryerson beat the University of Toronto 72-52 to advance to the East Division finals on March 5. Ryerson did not advance to the championships, losing 85-73 to Laurentian University.
1 single page Provincial Normal School Lesson Topic certificate and photocopies of selected documents from Janet Page's original Normal School scrapbook. Mrs. Page (nee Battersby) was a 1940 graduate of the Toronto Normal School.
Manuscript contains four pages of hand calligraphy and art, bound in brown leather and inscribed, "To James Carlyle, Esq., M.D. Toronto". The manuscript was presented to Dr. Carlyle upon his retirement in 1893 by the "Old Model Boys", students to whom he was their headmaster (1858-1871) at the Boys' Model School, followed by being the Mathematical Master at the Toronto Normal School (1871-1893).
Brass handbell with black wooden handle belonged to Dr. James Carlyle, the fourth Headmaster of the Boys' Model School where he would have used it (1858-1871) and Mathematical Master of the Toronto Normal School (1871-1893).
Flatware used by the patient's and in the Nurse's dining room at the Wellesley Hospital. Also included are a set of sugar tongs, and 3 collector's spoons.
A collection of shot glasses given to graduates. Each glass has the year of graduation screened onto it.
In the Spring of 1954, the previous year's graduates, in concert with SAC (Students' Administrative Council), presented a "RYE '54" shot glass to each member of the class at their graduation dance. The "old" alumni filled each glass with an appropriate libation (Rye) and toasted the new alumni. While this first ceremony was conducted just for fun, the idea caught on. The filling of the glasses stopped when the number of graduates swelled in the 1960's, but the glasses continued to be handed out to graduates until 1993.

Photograph of Keneca Pingue-Giles holding the Nan Copp Trophy. Pingue-Giles played on the Ryerson Rams (now Toronto Metropolitan University) women's basketball team between 2011-2016. The Nan Copp trophy is given by U Sport (formerly CIS) to the player chosen as the player of the year for women's basketball.

This small collection consists of: John Monkman's teaching certificate ("Grade B of the Second Class") issued by the Educational Department for Upper Canada, dated 1863 and signed by Egerton Ryerson; ten examination papers from the Thirtieth Session of the Normal School for Upper Canada (December, 1863); and two timetables entitled "Syllabus of Lectures in the Normal School for Upper Canada" (Twenty-Ninth Session, 1863) and "Programme of Lectures in the Normal School for Ontario (Forty-Sixth Session, August to December, 1871). The 1871 document may suggest a possible return by John Monkman to the Normal School to upgrade his qualifications.

One copy of the book, 'Imagination in Action' is a collection of "essays and musings on creativity" edited by Carol Malyon. George Swede's essay, "Tracks in the Sand - Why Do We Write" and "Why Haiku" appear on pages 56 - 61.
Included with the book is a letter from the editor to all contributors, and personalized to George, signed, 'Carol'.
Photographs were taken on Monday November 10,1986 by a library staff member to record the condition the Library was found in on that Monday, after the Sunday's opening. After President Brian Segal and Vice President Tom Sosa inspected the Library, Segal issued a letter to the Ryerson Community expressing his disgust and concern. He further announced the closure of the library for following Sunday, November 16. SURPI (student union) reacted by organizing an overnight sit-in to take place Saturday, November 15 to Sunday, November 16 in protest of Segal's action.
