"Coming to Life" documentary

File contains 2 copies of a documentary created by the LIFE Institute in conjunction with the Programs for the 50+ at the Raymond G. Change School of Continuing Education and the Government of Canada's New Horizons for Seniors program. The documentary tells eleven stories of people who are involved with the LIFE Institute and Programs for the 50+. Included in the documentary are stories about Geoff Arnold, Sharon Hampson, Dorothy Knight, Joan Lee, John Simke, Josephine Spencer, John Twomey, Kitty Wintrob, Charles Wright, and Marilyn Wright.

AATO Certificates: Technicians and Technologists proposal

File contains a proposal for the Association of Architectural Technologists of Ontario (AATO). Proposal is that graduates of Ryerson's Continuing Education advanced certificate program in Architectural Technology be granted technician certification with the AATO - provided they have also completed the 6 years of work experience.
Included with the report is a letter from the acting chairman of Technology to the AATO outlining possible changes to Ryerson's program to make this possible.

Access program for multi-racial students enter Human Service fields

The program offered through Continuing Education at Ryerson was created jointly by Ryerson and the Access Action Council and was funded by the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities.
Files contain correspondence, financials, course brochures, meeting minutes, notes, proposals, Progress Report to Ministry of Colleges and Universities Government of Ontario, and Proposal for a Conference in Improving Accessibility in Post Secondary Institutions For Visible Minority and Ethno Specific Students in Ontario.

Administrative and general program records

File contains a variety of materials associated with the Gerontology certificate program. Included are an organizational chart outlining the academic and administrative report structure of the program; three program brochures; and One copy of a survey given to students in the program, and one copy of the survey results.

Alender memorial award, American Society for Quality Control award, Association of Architectural Technologists of Ontario award, Abbie E. Hatton memorial award, Faculty award for Gerontology, and the Walter G. Pitman award.

Bill Gates visit to Ryerson materials

File contains materials created for and during Bill Gates visit to Ryerson. Event titled "Putting Technology to Work for Canada" was sponsored by Ryerson's Continuing Education division and was held Thursday August 19, 1993 from 9:15 - 10:30 am in the Ryerson Theatre.
Included in the file are an audio tape and an VHS tape of the lecture, posters, a ticket, a flyer, and newspaper clippings about Bill Gates.

Blank forms, certificates and stationery

File contains blank certificates of completion from the Business division of MDI for "Women - Training Toward Management Responsibility"; "Training Toward Management Responsibility"; "Workshop for College Administrators"; "Marketing for Hospitality"; and "Venture Capital". Also included is a blank grades report, a generic note from MDI, blank business division application forms, blank general application forms, and blank form letters notifying students of registration.
