Dark red trim around the edges of the top and bottom box. Package is opened. Missing directions, formulas manual. Plates are dusty. The Stanley Dry Plate Company was purchased by Eastman Kodak in 1904, and the plates continued to be made with the Kodak brand name affixed to the label. Unveiling of plaque at William Thomas gravesite

Photographs, invitation, newsletter report, videotape relating to the unveiling of a special bronze plaque next to the gravestone of William Thomas in St. James Cemetery in Toronto, and the subsequent reception at Oakham House. The plaque contains the transcribed text from the gravestone, which had become illegible over time but was available through cemetery records. The gravestone itself was partially restored. Funds for both the plaque and the restoration were provided by various heritage groups under the coordination of Mr. Stephen Otto. After the unveiling ceremony, the attendees (numbering about 25 and including relatives of William Thomas) were invited to Oakham House for refreshments, including a birthday cake in honor of the anniversary of Thomas' 200th birthday.

This involved co-operative teaching and interdisciplinary project work with other University of Toronto Departments, the Industrial Design Department - Ontario College of Art, Departments of Business, Marketing and Engineering - Ryerson Polytechnic University and participation of professionals in various relevant disciplines, manufacturers and entrepreneurs.

Framed collages from Roberta Bondar's space mission

Dr. Roberta Bondar was the first Canadian woman and second Canadian to travel into Space when she flew aboard the space shuttle Discovery in January, 1992. From the early 1990s, Dr. Bondar worked with the former Centre for Advanced Technology Education (CATE) at Ryerson in researching and investigating bloodflow under weightlessness conditions, as well as experiment methodology, modelling, evaluation, data collection and analysis through a contract with the Canadian Space Agency. Her research methods were applied on her flight aboard the Discovery shuttle. Dr. Bondar received a Ryerson Fellowship in 1990 and became the University's first Professor of Distinction in 1993.Two framed and signed collages of photographs and crests, including a small cotton patch bearing the Ryerson logo that was in the shuttle's payload, were presented to Ryerson President, Terry Grier, in a special visit, lecture and presentation in 1992. The montages were deposited in the University Archives in 1995 by President Grier, upon the completion of his term of office.
