Little Octobrists' Rules banner

White banner with white tassels depicting scenes of children doing lawn work, helping others, receiving medals. All children are wearing a red star. Also, appearing in the centre of the banner, is a red star with a childhood image of Vladimir Illyich Lenin. This red star is a symobl of the Little Octobrists. The Russian word appears on the banner. This banner provides the rules of the Little Octobrists: they will be pioneers; they will like school and respect their elders; only those who enjoy work will be called Little Octobrists; they are to be truthful, courageous, dexterous and skillful; and they are to read, draw, play, sing and live happily. Little Octobrist is a Soviet term that first appeared in 1923-1924, and at that time referred to children born in 1917, the year of the October revolution. Later, the term was used as the name of a youth organization for children between 7 and 9 years of age. After the age of nine, Little Octobrists would typically join the Young Pioneer organization for ages 9 to 14, after which they joined the Komsomol organization for ages 14 to 28.Little Octobrists were organized in groups by grade level that were divided into subgroups called little stars, of 5 children each. Each group was under the leadership of one Young Pioneer. Every Little Octobrist wore a ruby-coloured five-pointed star badge with the portrait of Vladimir Illyich Lenin in his childhood. The symbol of the group was the little red flag.

In smaller text it reads, "For us, as never before, more light isneeded, so that the party and people know all, so that we won't have dark corners, where would again start up the mold, all of that with which we are now led a decisive struggle and are far from completion. Therefore - more light!" This quote is indicated to be from materials from the Plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union dated January 1987. The poster was produced in Moscow. The editors were M. Nedkova and I. Pechkin and the artistic editor was Yu. Leonov.

Porcelain Decree of Peace commemorative plate

Commemorative white porcelain plate with gold trim and writing, with image of Vladimir Illyich Lenin and the sickle and hammer, and a boat. The writing is in Old Russian, which reads: 70 decree of peace, adopted unanimously at the All-Russian Congress of Workers', Soldiers' and Peasants' Deputies 26 October 1917. It was created in the German Democratic Republic by Weimar.

Item consists of red note cards with graphic depiction of Lenin's face on cover and Lithuanian text within. One copy has the years 1917-1977 written on the cover, but the others do not. They are addressed to Mr. Comrade H. Puskunigiui. The copy with the years 1917-1977 congratulates him and his staff on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the October Socialist Revolution. Another card congratulates him and his staff on the occasion of the 59th anniversary of the October Socialist Revolution. Another card is an invitation to a formal sitting dedicated to the USSR State Construction Committee and construction and building materials industry workers' unions of the Central Committee of Red Flag. It was to be held at the Agricultural Construction Design Institute's Institute Hall on March 5 at 3pm.. The cards are issued and signed by Agricultural Construction Design Institute Director B. Rilys, party secretary A. Loda, local trade union chair J. Girdzius, Komsomol secretary A. Liksa.

Mikhail Gorbachev is the first and largest doll, inside which in succession are the leaders: Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev, Nikita Sergeyevich Khrushchev, Joseph Stalin, Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, Semyon Budyonny, Lavrentiy Beria, Sverdlov and Sailor Zeleznyak, leaders potentially of the Russian Revolution. The Khrushchev doll depicts him at a United Nations podium and he is holding a shoe. The writing around him reads: "Corn! Socialism! Cosmos! Accommodations!" The Stalin doll is holding a pipe and it reads: "Great VOKD! Father of the People!" The Lenin doll depicts him wearing a red ribbon and writing on the doll reads: "Peace to the People! Revolution!" The Beria doll depicts him holding a newspaper with the word "Business" on it and he's wearing a red armband with the letters TsK, which stand for Central Committee.

Young Pioneers banner

Small red banner, with yellow tassels on three sides and yellow writing, shows the emblem of the Young Pioneer organization of the Soviet Union. The star with flames behind it and Vladimir Illyich Lenin's face in centre is the symbol for the mass youth organization of the USSR for children of age 10-15 in the Soviet Union between 1922 and 1991: Komsomol. One of the flags has a tag still attached, with Russian text. One of the flags has hand written numbers on it indicating its price. Item consists of a red card with image of Lenin in black, as well as black Russian text. Interior bears Lithuanian and Russian text and signatures. Exterior reads: Invitation. It is address to Mr. Comrade H. Puskunigiui. Interior reads: "The Communist Party of Lithuania Vilnius City Committee and Municipal People's Deputies Executive Committee invites you to attend a solemn ceremonial for the Soviet government foundation in Lithuania and the Lithuanian Communist Party 60th anniversary, which will be held on the 15th of December 1978 in Lenin Square. It starts at 11am." The invitation was issued and signed by Agricultural Construction Design Institute Director B. Rilys, party secretary A. Loda, local trade union chair J. Girdzius and Komsomol secretary A. Liksa.

Coloured in brown and red. Hook to hang poster on verso. It reads, "From the workers' detachments, revolutionary detachments, the first Red Guard regiments growing might of our army. 23 February, 1918."

Lenin is holding the Soviet newspaper Pravda in his hand. The editor was A. Gromov, the artistic editor was A. Pastukhov and the technical editor was T. Onosovskaya.

Ten loosely rolled posters with the same photographic portrait of Lenin. Two posters have been removed to Box LN22 because of their small size. Beneath Lenin's portrait reads: V. I. Lenin. The photographer was P. A. Otsupa. It was produced in Moscow.

Two sets of 12 posters, each set is missing poster 10 and has a duplicate of poster 9 instead. The posters illustrate the timeline of Lenin's life, with subjects including: The Ulyanov Family, Childhood and Youth, For the Happiness of the People, Leader of the Revolution, Advisor and Comrade, The Best Fried, Creator of New Light, Ilyich and Children, and Alive (Lives) Forever. It was published in Kyiv. The authors were Tamila Semenivna Zhurbyts'ka and Nina Oleksiyivna Andrusych, designer was Mykola Arkadiyovych Uspens'kyy and the editor was N. H. Shyshkina. The head editor was V. F. Hozha, the Associate editors were Ya. A. Lemeshenko and A. V. Sabadash, the design editor was M. M. Yakushchenko, the technical editor was Z. C. Onyshchuk and the correctors were E. P. Braslavs'ka and N. S.Mytsyk.

Set of fourteen small posters in a book format, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the October revolution. On the back of the folder holding the posters, the dates 1917-1987 are written. The author-compiler was A. Murzin, the designer was V. Kononov, the editor was R. Engel' and the technical editor was L. Nikitina. It was produced in Moscow.

blue stamp albums with Ukrainian and Russian language stamps

blue, cloth-bound, hard cover albums with thick cardboard pages. Cover bears image of rocket and stamp perforated edge and reads: stamps. The pages include horizontal plastic strips to hold postage stamps in place on the pages. Each page is covered with interleaving tissue. Each album contains at least fifty Soviet postage stamps, many bearing the image of Lenin. Some depict the Ukrainian SSR.
