Convocation, 1988

File contains photographs of the Ryerson graduands walking to Massey Hall for convocation being led by a bagpiper from the Metro Toronto Police Pipe band. In the foreground of the photographs is Ernie the Hot Dog man. Also in the file is a photograph of someone petting Eggy.

Convocation, 1994

File contains photographs taken at the Spring convocation ceremonies on June 15, 16, and 17. The photographs include fellowship honouree Norman Campbell at the June 16 Faculty of Applied Arts ceremony; medal winners; and graduates with their degrees. Also included in the file is a photograph of former Ryerson Presidents Walter Pitman, and Brian Segal, Ryerson President Terry Grier and David Crombie taken after before or after the ceremony on June 15 where David Crombie was installed as Ryerson's first chancellor. Ryerson was also presented with the Kerr Memorial Mace during that same ceremony.

Convocation, 1996

File contains photographs taken at the Spring convocation ceremonies on June 17-21. This year was the first year that Ryerson handed out Honourary Doctorates instead of fellowships. The photographs include doctorate honourees: John Craig Eaton, doctor of commerce at the June 20 Faculty of Business ceremony; Pierre Juneau, doctor of letters at the June 18 Faculty of Applied Arts ceremony; Douglas G. Hull, doctor of science at the June 21 Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science morning ceremony; Thomas Brzustowski, doctor of engineering at the June 21 Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science afternoon ceremony; Romeo Leblanc, doctor of letters at the June 17 Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Community Services ceremony; and Diane McGarry, doctor of science at the June 20 Faculty of Business ceremony. Also included in the file are photographs of Ryerson medal winners, graduates in the Kerr Hall Quad, and the reception for Romeo Leblanc.

Eggy the Ram

File contains photographs of Eggy the Ram, Ryerson's live mascot. Photographs are from several different events between 1982 and 1992. The first set are photographs of Howard Kerr and Eggy at a ceremony held February 4, 1982 at Oakham House when the heads of Eggy's 1, 2, and 3 were given to Oakham House for display. The second set is of Eggy at convocation in the 1980s. The rest are from various convocations in the early 1990s. Included is a photograph of former Ryerson Archivist Jim Peters holding the RAM mace he carved posing beside Eggy.

File contains photographs taken at the Spring convocation ceremonies on June 10, 11, and 12. The photographs include fellowship honourees: Alan R. Marchment at the June 11 Faculty of Business afternoon ceremony; Monique Begin at the Faculty of Community Services ceremony; Sheelagh D. Whittaker at the June 11 Faculty of Business morning ceremony; James Pachkham and Donald S. Scott at the June 10 Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science afternoon ceremony; and Dr. He Zhi-Qian and Eric Wright at the June 12 Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Community Services ceremony. Also included are photographs of Harry Rosen as guest speaker at the Faculty of Applied Arts ceremony on June 10.
Other photographs in the folder include medal winners, and 1st Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degrees.

File contains photographs taken at the Spring convocation ceremonies on June 12, 16 - 19. The photographs include doctorate honourees: Barbara Hall, doctor of laws at the June 16 Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Community Services June 16 afternoon ceremony; and Anne Ross, doctor of laws at the June 16 Faculty of Community Services morning ceremony; and Arthur Lee. Also included are post-convocation photographs of graduates in the quad, and medal winners.

Convocation, 1990

File contains photographs taken at the Spring convocation ceremonies on June 13, 14, and 15 and Fall Convocation on October 20. The photographs are of fellowship honourees. Included are photographs of June Callwood, who received a fellowship at the June 13 Applied Arts convocation ceremony in the morning; Douglas J. Cardinal, who received a fellowship at the June 13 Technology convocation ceremony in the afternoon; Rosemary Brown, who received a fellowship at the June 14 Arts and Community Services convocation ceremony; Roberta Bondar, who received a fellowship at the June 15 Business convocation ceremony; and David Crombie, who received his fellowship at the October 20 convocation ceremony. Also included are two photographs from the fall convocation of the procession and children from the Child care holding a sign.

File contains photographs taken at the Spring convocation ceremonies on June 16, 17, and 18. The photographs include fellowship honourees: Monique Frize and Rose Sheinin at the June 16 Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science ceremony; Margaret Norquay at the June 16 Faculty of Applied Arts ceremony; Jos Wintermans at the June 17 Faculty of Business ceremony; Marie Sanderson and Gordon Fairweather at the June 18 Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Community Services ceremony; Wilson Head and Glenda Simms at the June 18 Faculty of Community Services ceremony; and William Siegel and Janice Moyer at the June 17 Faculty of Business ceremony.
The other photographs include students receiving the first degrees under Ryerson's new university status - Ryerson Polytechnic University.

File contains photographs taken at the Spring convocation ceremonies on June 21, 22, and 23. The photographs include fellowship honourees: Romeo Dalliere at the June 21 Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Community Services ceremony; and A. L. Flood and Nuala Beck at the June 23 Faculty of Business ceremony. Also in the file are many photographs of the graduands processions before the ceremonies and of graduates and medal winners in the Kerr Hall Quad afterwards.

File contains photographs taken at the Spring convocation ceremonies on June 16, 17, 19, and 20. The photographs include doctorate honourees: Judd Buchanan, doctor of laws at the June 17 Faculty of Business ceremony; Murray Enkin, doctor of laws at the June 20 Faculty of Community Services cermony; Linda Lundstrom, doctor of laws at the June 16 Faculty of Applied Arts morning ceremony; and Jacques Hebert, doctor of laws at the June 16 Faculty of Applied Arts afternoon ceremony. Also included in the file are a photograph of Jim Packham and his wife, medal winners, and the Midwifery class posing with Murray Enkin.

Convocation

File contains photographic slides taken during the convocation procession through the Quad and the after the ceremony. Many of the photos are "aerial" shots taken from the roof of Kerr Hall looking down at the graduands.

Convocation, n.d.

File contains four photographs of convocation taken in the Kerr Hall Quad. Two photographs are of three women posing together, one is of the graduand procession, and one is of two women hugging.

Convocation, 1989

File contains a photograph of Ryerson Administration and Information Management graduate Alva Alvear buying a hot dog from Ernie's Hotdog emporium at Lake Devo. The photograph was published in the July 7, 1989 edition of the FORUM newsletter.

Bullock at the Faculty of Business convocation on June 14; Moses Znaimer at the Faculty of Applied Arts convocation on June 12; and Dr. Ferenc Kovacs at the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science convocation on June 12. Other photographs are of medal winners, staff members with graduating family members, the first Bachelor of Social Work degrees and first Bachelor of Engineering degrees.
