Immediate source of acquisition

In late 2012, Ryerson University Library and Archives acquired a collection of about 1000 publications relating to international photography focused exhibitions and festivals from Alison Nordström, Curator of Photographs at George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film, who collected the material between 1986 and 2011. This formed the core of the photographic exhibitions collection. Smaller donations speficifally related to photographic exhibitions will continue to be added to the collection, and Ryerson Libarary and Archives Speical Collections began to actively collect related materials in 2013.

Original collection was organized by year, this arrangement has been sustained and further subdivided into country of exhibition, and city, where appropriate.
