Biographical history

Jack Aitken was from St. Catherine's and graduated from Upper Canada College. He attended Ryerson and graduated from the Food Administration Program (1951-1953). While at Ryerson he won a scholarship from the Canadian Restaurant Association - Toronto and District Branch. He was also a member of the Ryerson Rams Hockey Team and the Hotel Horrors Intramural Hockey Team.

Custodial history

Photographs and records were given to University Advancement by Jack Aitken for the Class of 1953/54 Hotel and Food Administration 50th Reunion in 2004.

Scope and content

Fonds consists of photographs, programmes, a dance card, newsclippings, correspondence, and a report card from Jack Aitken. He accumulated these items during his time at Ryerson in the Food Administration program, his membership on the Ryerson Rams Hockey Team, and as a member of the Hotel Horrors Intramural Hockey Team. Also included in the fonds is a file of miscellaneous items used to create a package for 50th Reunion attendees.
