Biographical history
Lois Astrid Martell (née Nymark) graduated from the Ryerson Institute of Technology with a diploma in Hotel, Resort and Restaurant Administration in 1959. Martell was the only woman in a graduating class of eleven men and was a member of the Oshawa Kirby Ski Club and the Ryerson Ski Club. Her husband, Dennis Patrick Albert Martell, also graduated in 1959 with a diploma in Business Administration.
