Commemorative medal, composed of a metal alloy, shows a relief portrait of Karl Marx and Vladimir Illyich Lenin with their names written above. Recto reads: Russian Socialist Federated Soviet Republic - Petersburg 1919. On verso, is a man standing with arms out, one leg forward. In one hand he holds a hammer and in the other, three sheafs of wheat. He is wearing only a cloth around his waist. Verso reads: Proletariat of all countries unite.
