Cyanotype image of a brick building, with the name of Carcill Planing Mill (A.D. 1904). Inscription handwritten in black ink on recto "Planing Mill." Image dated after 1904 because that is the date of the building. Town not identified. Cyanotypes often used as proofs, more commonly used after 1880s. Paper is very thin.

Built to Accommodate the men who built the first mill dam on Plum Creek. House was just south and east of the present creek bridge."
