Two pairs of photographs originally grouped together. Two photographs are of a girl seated on a miniature chaise longue in front of garden wall, and two photographs are of the interior of Canterbury Cathedral. The cathedral photographs have both been written on verso in pencil "Canterbury Cathedral," and individually in ink, "Presbytery and Archbishop Bourchier's Tomb" and "Effigy of the Black Prince from his Tomb."

Topics include: astrophotography; composition; photographing flowers; winter, flash, underwater, travel, night, close up and tropical photography; photography through binoculars; and photography the television.

File part contains instructional information on the use of Kodak densitoemters and how to use density readings for black-and-white and colour printing.

Folder contains published material by the RULA Special Collections including posters, pamphlets, brochures etc.

Item is a cardboard boxed filled with 54 stereoscopic images. Item comes with one handheld, compact, metal accordion fold black stereoscope. This object was used to view two nearly identical photographs, or stereographs, as one three dimensional image. The stereograph would be placed in the sliding card holder and adjusted to fit the user's vision until the two images overlap to mimic a three-dimensional effect. Images are vernacular photographs sent to A.P. Manners Ltd. to develop, print, and then return images to photographers. Written by previous owners on a small yellow post-it-note : recoverying from W.W. II English Military Sectary.

Includes a photograph of B. Heyman Furniture Co. in Phoenix, Arizona while located at the Anderson building on the northwest corner of Washington and 1st Street. The Anderson Building was built in 1888 and lasted until the 1980's. Also includes a photograph of Davidson's Cash Store, believed to be in Phoenix, Arizona c. 1902.

They appear to be sitting in the back yard of a home. There is an uneven white border surrounding the image. On the back of the photograph is handwritten "August 9th 1914".

Item consists of two black and white photographs of a woman lifting a baby out of a wicker baby carriage. The woman and carriage are on a walkway to the front of a house. There are some flowers in the background. The carriage is posed diagonally, baby and woman are looking at each other. The photos appear to be developed and fixed improperly, as there are liquid markings and fingerprints on the prints. The two images are identical but flipped and cropped differently. One is lighter than the other. On the back of each photograph is handwritten in black pen "Baby Rer. 6 wks."

They are sitting and standing in shallow water. One photograph depicts a woman sitting on a large rock with a young girl. Another shows the woman on the rocks alone. The sixth photograph is of four girls in dresses and hats standing on a large rock. The seventh photograph is of a woman standing on a rocky beach with a hat beside her and a building and trees behind her. There is a small white border surround each image, and on the back of each photograph is written in pencil "998a".

File contains 1 copy of issue 10 of RADmag - the Fifth Anniversary Issue

This collection consists of photographic films, papers and chemicals used by various individuals for amateur or professional purposes. The collection also includes camera accessories, flash equipment, various lenses, exposure meters (light meters) and equpiment used for darkroom processing and printing. This is a growing collection, created to help preserve the materials used for analogue photographic developing, printing and enlarging.

Item consists of 52 black and white transparency copy slides of photo-historical images for teaching. The slides are all in metal housings, made in Switzerland by Perro Color, US Pat. 2919840. They are individually numbered in black ink with a 4 digit number on white sticker labels, but there is no index to go with the slides.

Item consists of a brown album with gold embossing and darker brown detailing. Item has part of a metal clasp on right of cover. Pages are white with gold embossing and sleeves with cutouts to insert the photographs into. Spine is torn and in very poor condition.
Photographs are all carte de visite size, and there are 5 tintypes in paper mats spread throughout the album. Some are hand-coloured. They are all portraits, some are labeled in pencil or black ink on the back of or below the photograph with the subject's name and sometimes a date. The photographs were taken accross Canada in Charlottetown, Montreal, Halifax, Pictou, Ottawa, and others as well as Boston, Washington D.C., New York and Auckland New Zealand. Some of the studios that made the photographs in this album are the Notman Studio, Brady's National Portrait Galleries, James Inglis, and J.W. Black. Photographers include C.S. Lewis and Tanton.

Loose materials include: photographs, tintypes in individual envelopes.

This fonds contains the book "Dialogue with Solitude" by Dave Heath, and a photocopy of a review of the book titled "A Dialogue with Solitude David Heath" from Journal vol. 34, no. 5, October 1979.

Fonds consists of books, committee documents, and curriculum records authored or co-authored by Lewis, as well as one photograph and one exhibition poster.

Item is a short synopsis of an interview that George Dunbar conducted with Bruce McCowan, , in preparation for a 2006 article on the photobooth.

Item contains notes taken by George Dunbar in preparation for an article he wrote on the Phototeria in 2006.

File contains records created in the production and publication of promotional photographs. Documents include: image captions for photographs of individuals, products, and war-related munitions work; picture files for photographs for the 1962 annual report; correspondence with external individuals requesting usage rights; correspondence regarding the Kodak commemorative stamp photographs, product images, and Kodak Ltd.'s coronation photographs; and photography release forms. Most records in file were unfortunately divorced from their accompanying photographs at some point during their life cycle.

Item consists of three copies of a commemorative folder with 4 Canadian postage stamps presented on a "Day of Issue" envelope. The Stamps mark the 150th anniversary of Kodak Canada.

Item consists of twelve snapshots taken with the Kodak No. 1, the first rollfilm camera under the name "Kodak". Subjects include a house in a forest, a group of women posing in front of the house, a man walking by the house, cows, and men playing cricket or baseball. The images are round on a white background with a black border and gold gilded edges. On the back of one photograph is handwritten in pen "Set 2.00" on a piece of masking tape.

Item is a snapshot album produced by Canadian Kodak Co. Ltd. The album includes 34 leaves with paper corners to hold photographs. No photos are included.

Photographs are mostly family snapshots, on the beach, at home, having a picnic and by the lake; some include domestic animals. Some photographs taken Ottawa, and Niagara Falls, and at Balboa Island, California, among other destinations.

Photo stores include Thompson's Camera and Art Store.
Date on the back of a loose photograph says "Apr. / 30".

Item consists of 10 unmounted albumen snapshots of a woman sitting in a living room, and images of the living room furniture and decoration, including wallpaper, photographs and hearth.

One cardboard box meant for holding dry plates manufactured by the Canadian Kodak Co. Originally came with instructions inside the package. Contained one dozen plates measuring 4 x 5 inches.
The Gelatin or Dry Plate photographic process was invented in 1871 by Dr. Richard L Maddox. This involved the coating of glass photographic plates with a light sensitive gelatin emulsion and allowing them to dry prior to use. This made for a much more practical process than the wet plate process as the plate could be transported, exposed and then processed at a later date rather than having to coat, expose and process the plate in one sitting. The gelatin dry plate process technique was developed and eventually led to the roll film process.

One cardboard box meant for holding dry plates manufactured by the Stanley Co. Box contained one dozen plates and ranked a No. 50 on the sensitometer. Box bears a logo with a man on a horse saying "On Stanley, On."
F.E. Stanley developed his own dry plate formulation and then eventually began selling plates to other photographers. The venture proved so successful that he and his twin brother, F. O. Stanley, became partners in the Stanley Dry Plate Company in 1884. Their coating machine, patented in 1886, accelerated the dry plate process, coating plates at a speed of one plate per second. The twins ultimately sold the Stanley Dry Plate Company to George Eastman of Eastman Kodak, who used the Stanley innovation to build his photography empire.

A collection of framed and unframed Normal School postcards, however, one postcard is a photograph of a postcard. A few have messages, names, addresses, stamps and postmarks .
