Scope and content
Item is a Polaroid instant camera with a plastic body, that originally retailed for $19.95 and now usually sells for around $20. Comes with a Polaroid magic cube and a manual. The lens is a plastic meniscus 220mm f/29 plastic an exposure compensation dial. The small, fixed aperture of the lens necessitates the use of a flash cube, in this case a Slyvania Blue Dot Magicube, and the fixed focus means users must move either backward or forward while looking through the rangefinder window until things line up, a procedure which came to be known as “the Big Shot Shuffle.” There is a built-in timer on the back to count down the picture development time from 1 minute so users will know when their picture is ready. One of this camera`s claims to fame is that noted artist Andy Warhol used it to shoot his famous portrait series. Serial number is PHF234A.
