Item is a cream coloured cabinet card with gold edging (almost gone) and photograph of a woman in a black dress with puffed sleeves standing behind a round chair with blankets and furs, on which two children are seated. In the background, a painted scene features a farmhouse, fence and trees.

Fair. Faded, yellow stain and lower left and hold in upper right of card. Brown stain above yellow one. At centre of image, a large cluster of black dots (ink) probably meant to disguise a hole in the picture.
