Biographical history

Ken and Joyce Hack (nee Shepherd) were Ryerson students in the early 1950s who met at what was then Ryerson Institute of Technology and later married. Ken graduated from Retail Merchandising (1953) while Joyce from the School of Fashion (1953).

This beanie would have been worn by either Ken or Joyce Hack (nee Shepherd) as a first year student during Initiation when Frosh were required to perform acts, such as shine shoes or sing at the command of other students and often in costume.
