File contains general correspondence and brochures for the Canadian Polytechnic Institute located at 1262 Don Mills Road, Don Mills, Ontario. The majority of its courses were Science related (Physics, Chemistry, Botany) but they did offer courses in English, History, and Engineering.

Vocational and pre-matriculation training of Canada's veterans

File contains 5 copies of the report created by Ontario's department of education and Canada's department of labour. Report details the vocational training initiatives and schools across Canada. Every province had schools and programs in place to train veterans in a trade of their choice.

Item is a course completion card for A.J. Orr in quality control for the chemical industries. It reads: "Rochester Institute of Techonolgy / EVENING AND EXTENSION DIVISION / THIS CERTIFICATE INDICATES THAT / [inscribed in blue ink] A. J. Orr / HAS COMPLETED THE COURSE IN / [inscribed in blue ink] Quality Control of the Chemical Industries". It is signed by President Mark Ellingson and Director Burton C. Stratton and dated 1951-52.

The bulk of the materials relates to the Toronto Training and Re-establishment Institute located at 50 Gould Street in the old Department of Education offices and buildings.
