Scope and content
A new nurses' residence was built after The Wellesley amalgamated with Toronto General Hospital. The cornerstone was laid by Ontario Premier Leslie Frost during a ceremony held June 29, 1952. The building opened June 29, 1953. In 1971 the building, now being used as offices, was re-named the Elsie K. Jones building.
File contains photographs of the sod turning, cornerstone laying, and interior and exterior photographs of the residence.
