The record group contains records created during the period 1937-1947 relating to vocational training for Canada's wartime and post-war (World War II) returning veterans. The bulk of the materials relates to the Toronto Training and Re-establishment Institute located at 50 Gould Street in the old Department of Education offices and buildings. Materials include books, photographs, reports, catalogues, brochures, objects, and textual records.

Series consists of courses entitled I.T.U. Lessons in Printing by the International Typographical Union in Indianapolis, Indiana. Contains 8 units of learning that appear to be from 2 different course sections, one in general printing and the other is newspaper printing. Used by the Training and Re-establishment Institute of Toronto, some of the booklets have their crest on the front.

Toronto Training and Re-establishment Insitute School of Electronics - electrical science course hand-outs

Fourteen stapled packs of course handouts for various units in the course. Topics include meters, wheatstone bridge, voltage dividers, faraday's law, lenz's law, magnetism, electromagnetism, condensers, frequency on capacitive reactance, inductive reactance, practical inductances, electrostatics, atomic weight and number, inductive and capacitive circuit phase shifts, and oscillation.

Horology course grading sheets

File contains three incomplete grading sheets from a horology course offered by the Training and Re-establishment Institute from October 6, 1947 and finishing October 1, 1948. Eric A. Campbell's name is written across the top of two of the forms. The first form is an overall course grading sheet that lists all the units covered in the course; the second is from Unit 2 Lathe work; and the third is from Unit 11 Preliminary General Repairs.
