Photography Collection postcards

An incomplete boxed set of photo postcards put together by Peter Higdon, Curatorial Manager, School of Image Arts, for Ryerson's fiftieth anniversary celebrations. The postcards are reproductions of original prints in the fine art photography print collection housed in the Mira Godard Study Centre in the School of Image Arts. A complete description of the collection and its role in Image Arts is provided on the first postcard in the box.

Film and Photography Department open house

File contains a framed poster advertising the Ryerson Film and Photography department's open house that took place on May 7-9, 1982. It also contains 3 copies of an oversize poster advertising another open house.

Cork from champagne bottle

Cork was popped from a bottle of champagne, opened on April 13, 1993, in the President's Office, to celebrate the Legislature's third reading of the Bill which conferred University Status on Ryerson. 1993.

East Kerr Hall Scan-A-Graver lettterpress plate:

A scan-a-graver letter press plate made from plastic in two pieces showing East Kerr Hall with the radio tower. The plastic plats are mounted on several magnesium dies which are very heavy.
The scene was printed on the 1966-1967 Extension courses calendar.

Ryerson Polytechnic University student design for industry

File contains an article published in Surfacing, Summer 1995, detailing a partnership between Ryerson Fashion students enrolled in Harley Jackson's "Texture and Surfaces" course and clothing manufacturers, Oscardo Inc. and Wilson Sports Equipment Canada. File also contains photocopies of a brochure featuring Wilson Sports apparel designed by Ryerson students.

Seminars and Workshops

File consists of email notices with information pertaining to various subject seminars sponsored by the Department of Geography and School of Retail Management.

Miscellaneous Ryerson decals

File consists of a sheet of four blue and gold Ryerson decals: 2 Ryerson crests, 1 Ryerson pennant with crest and RIT, 1 crest above a Ryerson name banner.

Ryerson ribbons and Frosh button

White and blue metal button with opening for student's name "Fashion Joyce Shepherd". A blue, a gold, and a white ribbon are knotted and attached to back of pin. It is a frosh button.

Rally tag and ribbons

A cardboard tag with “Beat The Aggies” (Ontario Agricultural College Aggies) attached to Ryerson ribbons (blue, gold and white).
