Item is a small box camera for 4 x 6.5 cm (1.57" x 2.55") exposures on 127 format roll film. Manufactured in England circa 1936, the camera is an all-metal box with a unidentified lens and a simple Kodak shutter. It has a simple wire viewfinder.

Item is a simple, wooden box camera with leatherette covering and brass trim, for use with 116 roll film (or D6 and D12 Agfa film).

Item is a mid-century German metal box camera with plastic covering and art-deco front. It was manufactured in 1951 by Agfa Camerawerk. The Synchro term in the name comes from the fact that it has a flash sync shutter. The lens is a 105mm f/11 single-element Meniscus fixed focus lens with a focus range of 3 meters to infinity. A pull-out tab is located above the shutter release to change the aperture. When the tab is fully pushed in, there is a larger aperture approximately equivalent to f/11; the middle tab is a smaller aperture approximately equivalent to f/16; and the last tab is the larger aperture (f/11) with a yellow filter. The shutter is an instant-return self-cocking rotary shutter controlled by a simple spring. The shutter speed can be adjusted by a small sliding lever directly under the side viewfinder. The dot is 1/50th of a second, and the long line is bulb mode. The optics are only slightly better than a toy camera, and have a soft focus but little to no vignetting. Camera takes 6x9cm images on 120mm film. This is the export version made c1951. In 1951 and later, the Agfa name appeared on the front of the camera. It originally sold for $5-10.

Item is a metal twin lens reflex camera for 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" exposures on 620 format roll film. Coupled front lens focusing.

Item is a small twin lens reflex camera for 4 x 4 cm exposures on 127 format film. This created the "super slide" which had the same casing dimensions as a standard 35mm slide, but with a larger image area. The camera has a crank film advance, with no double exposure inhibitor. Lens is a 3 element Yashikor f 3.5 60mm lens with a Copal SV shutter with speeds from 1 to 1/500 of a second.

Item is a medium format, twin lens reflex camera for 6 x 6 cm exposures on 120 format film. Lens is an Anistigmant 75mm, F2.5 with a cloth focal plane shutter (speeds from 2 second to 1/500th). This model of camera was available in both left and right-handed models.

Item is a twin lens reflex medium format camera. Features on this model include a self-cocking winding crank with double exposure prevention.

Item is a 35mm, single lens reflex camera manufactured by the Zeiss Ikon Company. This model, introduced in 1954, has a Tessar 45mm f2.8 lens and synchro-compur leaf shutter. The camera has a built-in, uncoupled selenium exposure meter and a telephoto lens attachment that slides over the original lens (Teleskop 1.7 x NR 2507248).

Item is the first Japanese 35mm SLR camera. The "T" model has automatic TTL shutter-priority metering. It has a Konica Hexanon 1:4 f=21mm lens, serial #7028597, and also includes a Konica Hexanon 1:2.8 100mm lens serial #7230688.

Item is a non-folding camera with a coupled selenium meter. Has an uncovered beehive selenium cell on the front. It has a fixed Pantar F2.8 45mm lens.

Item is a leather covered wooden box camera. The Ansco Memo is a single frame, fixed focus which takes landscape oriented images. Film is advanced by pushing down on a lever in the back of the camera. While not the first American camera made for 35mm film, it is the first to sell in abundant quantities.

Item is a typical, affordable, point and shoot camera of the sixties. The lens is an Agfa Color Apotar F1:2.8 45mm. Pronormatic shutter, selenium type light meter integrated into top of camera, distances had to be set manually. The camera was distributed under the brand name Optima II outside of Canada. A hard leather field case is included with the camera.

Item is a cream carte de visite with gold border and portrait of a man in suit and bowtie, with a thick beard. On verso, in black letterpress, "EREKSON & LEE,/ PHOTOGRAPHERS,/ 285 MAIN STREET,/ BRIDGEPORT, CT./ Duplicates may be had at any time." A 2 cent US stamp is stuck on the back.

Item is a point and shoot camera for 7.3 x 5.4 cm instant photographis with Polaroid 500 Film, originally designed for the failed Captiva camera model (early 1990's). The camera was made very inexpensively, and camera back is held in place by only a sticker that acts as a hinge.

Item is a cream card with photograph of a well dressed black man. On verso, a long text in black letterpress followed by a purple stamp at the bottom reading "C.A. Stacey, Artist./ Over 56 Main Street,/ Medina, New York." The text is a brief biography of Richard Gordineer, a slave born to a Mohawk Dutchman and a black woman, who was freed in 1825 along with all the slaves in New York state. He was an excellent baker, and was regularly employed as a whitewasher until he lost all his savings in 1862. Gordineer died on December 11, 1884.

Item is a grey cabinet card with silver letterpress at bottom, "Warner Gothard/ 166 YORKSHIRE ST,/ ROCHDALE". Photograph shows a boy seated on a tree stump in front of a studio backdrop, wearing a sailor's uniform and holding a cap which reads "H.M.S. VIVID".

Item is an unmounted studio portrait of a man sitting and a woman standing with her hand on his shoulder. The man sitting rests an arm on the table and one in his lap. The woman is wearing a dress with layers in fashion during the 1870s. Her hair is tight curls fringing her head in fashion after 1876. The studio backdrop is of an interior. The man's feet are crossed. A book rests on the table. All four corners are angled off.

The collection consists of a large number of studio portrait photographs from the late 19th and early 20th centuries in carte-de-visite or cabinet card formats. There is a large collection of landscape and industrial imagery dating from the Victorian era to the 1960s. The collection also comprises many vernacular photographic albums, good examples of glass and metal photographic processes including cased daguerreotypes, ambrotypes and tintypes. The fonds is comprised of the following 8 series: Portraits (sub-series for Groups and Celebrities), Vernacular Photography (amateur snapshots), Landscapes and Industry (sub-series for Slides), Albums, the A.T. Orr collection and a Miscellaneous group of images which were generally created in mixed media.

Item is a vignetted photograph, portrait of an old woman in black dress, in oval matt with black letterpress at bottom right, "M.M. Morton/ LINDSAY, ONT." Mat is enclosed in a bi-fold grey card with embossed drawing of sun with face on the right side.

Item is a cabinet card featuring an image of Princes Friedrich Wilhelm and Eitel-Friedrich posed in a studio portrait in which they appear in a row boat outside.

File contains prints featuring exterior views of the Canadian Kodak Co., Ltd. King Street location. One building has a sign that reads "Canadian Rail & Harbour Terminals".

Item is the original patent (#22351) granted on September 2, 1885 by the Commissioner of Patents, Dominion of Canada, to George Eastman and William Hall Walker of Rochester, NY, for "improvements in roll holders, for exposing flexible sensitive photographic films." Item includes textual specifications and diagrams of the proposed improvements. Prior to patenting the innovation in Canada, Eastman and Walker were granted a similar patent (#317049) by the United States patent office on May 5, 1885.

Military medal awarded to servicemen who fought for the Soviet Union in the Great Patriotic War (WWII) against Germany. The medals are gold to copper in colour, and hang from ribbons with pins on the back. The medals themselves have a profile of Stalin recto, a small hammer and sickle and star verso, and Russian inscriptions on both sides. Recto reads: Our cause is just. We won. Gold-coloured medals' verso reads: For victory against Germany during the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945. Copper-coloured medal's verso reads: For valorous work during the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945.

Cross stitch on canvas of Vladimir Illyich Lenin's head and shoulders, in black, white and grey embroidery floss. In a wood frame with glass protection. Hook on verso to hang the frame.

Wooden egg shape sculpture, hand painted with head and shoulders of Mikhail Gorbachev. sickle, hammer and star from flag appear in gold around him, with clock tower in background and more gold writing. The egg is painted red, and does not stand flat but falls over on its side. The writing behind Gorbachev reads: CPSU. Verso writing reads: Glasnost - Perestroika. There is also a raised signature.

Packages of 20 cigarettes each. Red box bears Russian text and graphic portrait of Lenin. A graphic of the Soviet paper Truth is behind Lenin's portrait. Recto text reads: Cigarettes Prime Nostalgia. A side of the box reads: Cigarettes Fifth Class. The top reads: Smoking harms your health. On the bottom, the company's address is provided. Verso text reads "Prime Nostalgia". A Russian government label depicts the Russian emblem and reads: "Special Tabacco Brand" and "Russia".

Painted wooden nesting or Matrioshkas dolls of Russian Communist leaders. Mikhail Gorbachev is the first and largest doll, inside which in succession are the leaders: Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev, Nikita Sergeyevich Khrushchev, Joseph Stalin, Vladimir Ilyich Lenin. Five dolls in total. The bottom of each doll has an inscription: the number 15. The Gorbachev doll has "Perestroika" written next to a hammer and sickle on a red sash that Gorbachev is wearing. The Brezhnev doll is wearing army medals and decorations. The Khrushchev doll is holding an ear of corn. The Stalin doll is holding a tobacco pipe. The Lenin doll is wearing tha red bow and is holding the Soviet newspaper Truth.
