Kodak Advertising Materials

Series includes heavy leather post-bound ledgers containing proof sheets of advertisements and finished prints clipped from magazines and newspapers. The ads describe products intended for the Consumer, Professional, Medical, Dealer and other specialized markets and were collected by employees of the Communications Department.

The series also includes loose Kodak advertising proofs from 1927 assembled in a two-ring binder.

Kodak window displays, Christmas 1965

File contains colour negatives featuring images of Kodak products piled as Christmas presents, such as the Instamatic M4 and the complete Super 8 home movie oufit, beneath a 'Season's Greetings' picture with hand drawn signs that have slogans like 'open me first' or 'gift idea'. Promotional Olympic and family photos

File includes promotional images from the 1992 Summer Olympic Games featuring: tennis, volleyball, running, and the Olympic torch. Other promotional imges include families enjoying the games, a child in the grass, and a grandson looking over his grandmother's shoulder as she blows out the candles on her birthday cake.

Hilton's Virginia Street Casino

File contains three identical prints featuring an image of Hilton's Virginia Street Casino lit up at night. The casino operated from 1955 to 1978 and remained a casino-hotel-resort until 2008 when it opened as The Montage Reno, an upsacale contemporary high rise residential building. A caption included with the photographs reads: "A Reno marquee at night exposed using Ektar 1000 film in a Nikon F 3 camera equipped with a 15 mm Nikkor lens. The exposure was f/8 at 1/125 second."

File contains a group portrait featuring the Regional Retailers of the Year at the Kodak Image Check Awards in 1996. Process C-41 hot air balloon Calgary Winter Olympics balloon festival

Item is an image of a hot air balloon flying over autumn trees. It was made by Randle Taylor, a Kodak dealer from Toledo, Ohio, built the balloon to resemble a giant roll of Kodacolor VR-G film and displayed during the Kodak Balloon Festival in Calgary Alberta during the 1988 Winter Olympics.

Kodak Canada In Focus - Kodak Diving Team

Item is a colour print featuring an image of three men standing with diving tanks labelled "Ektachrome 100". Printed around the image reads "The Kodak Diving Team / Merry Christmas and a / 'Vericolorful' New Year / When your life depends on it...Ektachrome". The verso features a label that notes the date and issue, with subject info "Kodak Diving Team from Australia, with special printed Ektachrome tanks." It was printed on page 8 of Vol. 1 No. 3 of In Focus.

File contains panorama transparencies featuring images of the hot air balloon festival at the Calgary Winter Olympics. The panoramas highlight the Kodak balloon, which has the regular hot air balloon shape and stripes of yellow, orange and red. "Kodak" is written in red across the balloon.
