The series consists of the files from the Folk Recovery archive. The oral history project was created by Kejo Buchanan, host of the Jali Journey program on CJRU. Folk Recovery is an oral history project designed to highlight and celebrate Black, Indigenous, Asian and all racialized storytellers and their contributions to the Canadian folk sound.
The files in this serie contain audio and video copies of the storyteller's interview in wav and mp4 formats, an mp4 video with ASL interpretation, a participant headshot image in jpg format and an interview transcript in Microsoft Word and PDF formats.

Parte de Heritage Camera Collection
Series contains cameras that use film to capture moving images for display. While still image cameras expose one image at a time on photographic film, motion picture cameras take a series of images (or frames) on long strips of film that are then played back using a projector. The speed at which the film is projected matches that which it was taken, a speed (or frame rate) of 24 frames per second was long the standard in the motion picture industry, and is enough to appear to the human eye as motion and not simply a string of still images. Most of the cameras in this series are for amateur or "home movie" use.

Parte de Kodak Canada Corporate Archives and Heritage Collection
This series contains photographic albums, b&w negatives and prints, colour negatives and prints, colour slides, glass plate negatives and transparencies originating from the Kodak Canada Corporate Archives and Heritage Collection. These materials were used both as forms of documentation of the history of the company at various sites including Kodak Heights, Brampton, Montreal and Vancouver, as well as functioned as a working collection to use for promotional efforts. Highlights include: documentation of the construction of the Kodak Heights site circa 1915 in a series of commissioned albums and loose prints; documentation of the various operations related to the photographic and moving image industry including paper, film, and camera production and processing; marketing campaigns for digital initiatives; and a reference slide collection used by the Kodak Canada Corporation.
Photographic materials have been organized by format and within by the order created when processed in 2005. This arrangement was loosely based on the Kodak Canada's original organization of the files in their archives index. Files of photographs organized by the Kodak Canada Archives Index associated with the collection have been kept together, with the individual file numbers and index titles referenced in the Notes field of each record. Previously assigned reference numbers are indicated in the Archivist's Comments fields.

Hospitality Update conferences

In the 1970s and 1980s the Ryerson Theatre Company was made up of final year students from the acting, dancing and technical programs - representing their transition year from the student to a professional. They were responsible for all aspects of the show including promotion, production, and performance. It is unclear why there was a revival of the name periodically through the years.
The file contains correspondence, memos, advertising, posters. photographs, programs, budgets and documents relating to the operation and promotion of the company.

This small collection consists of: John Monkman's teaching certificate ("Grade B of the Second Class") issued by the Educational Department for Upper Canada, dated 1863 and signed by Egerton Ryerson; ten examination papers from the Thirtieth Session of the Normal School for Upper Canada (December, 1863); and two timetables entitled "Syllabus of Lectures in the Normal School for Upper Canada" (Twenty-Ninth Session, 1863) and "Programme of Lectures in the Normal School for Ontario (Forty-Sixth Session, August to December, 1871). The 1871 document may suggest a possible return by John Monkman to the Normal School to upgrade his qualifications.

The contents of the Series originally belonged to Harvey Curry, a 1924 graduate of the Toronto Normal School. Included is a brief handwritten biography of Harvey Curry (photocopy of the original) and a copy of his obituary from December 1990, as well as photographs taken by and/or given to Harvey during his time at the Toronto Normal School.
Included in the donation is a 1923/1924 Toronto Normal School yearbook. It has been arranged to the yearbook Series, RG 16.02 with notations it originally belonged to Harvey Curry. A link is provided below. Also included in the yearbook Series is a yearbook that apparently belonged to Velma Quinn, but donated with the Harvey Curry records.

The scale model was researched and constructed by Architecture students Robert Smith, Richard Zoltek and Ed Nicoluccci under the supervision of the faculty member, Bob Greenberg. The model was a highlight of the Ryerson Archives’ Ontario Bicentennial display held in the Olive Baker Lounge in October, 1984. From 1980 to 1995, the model was on display in the lobby of the 13th floor in Jorgenson Hall. The model was removed to the Archives in January, 1995, while the display case/unit and the ‘landscaping base’ were sent to the School of Architecture. The latter was transferred to the Archives in March, 1996.

The final hard copy edition of the FORUM was published October 2005 - moving to an electronic format with its next issue. It was replaced by an online email newsletter Ryerson Today, on October 19, 2009.
