Kodak x-ray demonstration

File contains negatives featuring images of Kodak x-ray equipment and demonstrations of its use. There are examples including an x-ray image of a bell, a man at a monitor examining a human torso x-ray, men standing in a room equipped to take x-rays, and a woman preparing to be x-rayed and lying in an x-ray machine. Additionally, there is an image of an older Kodak building, of a box of one dozen Eastman Dupli-tized X-ray Films, and of a laboratory next to a window.

The Kodak Canada collection contains records and artifacts from the Kodak Heights manufacturing facility in Toronto, as well as the historical collection belonging to the Kodak Heritage Collection Museum. The collection consists of photographs, negatives, advertising records, magazines, pamphlets, daily record books, recipe books, cameras and other photographic equipment produced by Kodak Canada Inc., or other Kodak plants around the world. The collection includes a small selection of financial records, blueprints for Kodak facilities in Canada, and other corporate ephemera, as well as photographs of events, buildings and individual employees that illustrate the social life of the company.

Kodak Canada In Focus employee portraits, Photography Drive

File consists of Kodak employee portraits. Adhered to the verso of each are labels that indicate the images were for Kodak Canada In Focus, April 1981, Vol. 27 No. 4. Subject info for the portraits read: "Mary Rowntree has 10 years of service pg. 6", "Kodak lawn bowler displays his winning medals over the years. pg. 6", "Vida Lainson has 40 years service. pg. 5", "George Lugsoin put in 41 years of service. pg. 5", "Winnie Tomlinson has 25 yrs service pg. 5", "Alec Young has 40 yr service pg. 5". Portraits include Ron Eaton, "Carmela", Sharon Reid. The final image in this file is a smaller photograph of a road sign, with a label included that reads "Road sign of Photography Drive. pg. 2" and is from the same issue of In Focus.

File contains a collection of snapshots, all with borders and some with bevelled edges, that feature images from a gathering of young adults at someone's home or cottage. Additionally, there are images of employees inside a warehouse and office building. A photographer's stamp on the verso of many of the images reads: "W. P. Item is a piece of pressed paper hung on a black background behind red and blue mats in a black frame. The pressing reads: "[Dufferin Children's Fund Car Rally logo] / oomanac / Corporate Challenge". Item is a Vest Pocket Autographic made for use with 127 film. It is a small camera with black casing and black leather bellows. A continuation of the Vest Pocket camera, it features an "Autographic" feature that allowed photographers to sign a note on the top of the film which became visible after the film was developed.

Kodak Petite camera (blue)

Item is a promotional model of the Kodak Vest Pocket Model B, manufactured in 5 colours: blue, green, grey, lavender and pink. This version also includes an art deco pattern on the camera body, a particularly rare model. Marketed to young women, it was promoted as easy to use and small enough to fit in a lady's hand. Some models included a vanity carrying case, lined with sating and housign a lipstick, powder, rouge, clutch and mirror. Produced 4.5 x 6 cm exposures on 127 film.

Item is a simple box camera with a black leatherette covered metal body, featuring an art deco design on the front panel. It took 8 2.25 x 3.25" exposures on 620 roll film. The lens features 2 focusing zones, "5 to 10 feet" and "beyond 10 feet" and uses a rotary shutter. Two brilliant viewfinders allow for portrait or landscape framing.

Item is a pseudo twin lens reflex camera with flashgun attachment. It has a black plastic body with metal faceplate and fittings and was made for use with 127 rollfilm. It has a Dakon lens with a simpler folding finder, as well as an additional sports finder built into the base.

Brownie Starmatic

Item is a small automatic camera with a moulded black plastic body and metal fittings. Made for use with 127 roll film, it was the first automatic Brownie camera and a high end model of the Kodak Brownie Star series. It features a Kodar lens f/8 and an instant shutter setting, as well as a dial to select exposure with an Automatic Exposure option. It allows for the selection of film speed value to be selected in ASA and a reading to notify the photographer if flash is necessary. Because of these features, the popular photo sharing app "Starmatic" for Apple iPhone was named after this camera.

Kodak Disc 4000

Item is a small, flat, hand-held camera with black plastic body and brushed metal, gold-coloured front plate. Intended by Kodak to replace their instamatic line of cameras, the Kodak Disc cameras were designed to be simple to use, with all automatic functions. The camera used Disc film, a proprietary format that made 15, 11 x 8 mm exposures; this small negative size made the resulting prints very grainy when enlarged and, while the camera did well when it was first introduced, it lost populatiry due to the low quality prints it produced. Item includes a built in flash and wrist strap.

Item is a small hand held camera with black plastic and metal casing. It features a large winding knob on the top left, a brightline viewfinder and a blue plate on the front above lens reading "INSTAMATIC X-25". Used Kodak 126 cartridge film. Magicubes can be attached for flash.

Item is a coupled-rangefinder auto-exposure hand-held camera, somewhat heavier than other Instamatics due to the use of aluminum die-castings in the camera body. It has black leatherette details and a flash cube facility above its Kodak Ektanar f2.8 38mm lens. It fits any "Series V" accessory lens or filter without adaptors.

Item consists of a Kodak Signet 35 camera. It has a 45mm f/3.5 Kodak Ektar Lens with rear helicoid focus. The body is sturdy cast aluminum alloy with leatherette casing, and it features an automatic film stop counter. Knobs at top allow user to wind or rewind film. It has a Kodak Synchro 300 shutter with 5 speeds and uses 35mm film. Movable metal chart at back gives the best f stop for certain conditions. It was the first of the Kodak Signet camera line.

Item is a small automatic exposure camera with a soft grey plastic body, metal fittings, and a winding mechanism on right side to advance film.Designed for use with 126 cartridge film, it features a Kodak f/9.5 35mm lens and shutter speeds of 1/40 and 1/90 sec. Facility for flashcubes and retractable shutter release, as well as a retractable housing for the lens, similar to Instamatic S-10. Wrist strap attached. Serial no. 105820.
