Food Industries brief

3 copies of "A brief to be presented to the Honourable George. A. Drew Prime Minister and Minister of Education by various Food Industries petitioning the Government of the Province of Ontario to establish a permanent School to train personnel for the industry". Extra slides

A letter sized piece of paper and an oversized poster listing the names of winners of the Elisabeth Flaws scholarship and the Elsie K. Jones Scholarship.
The letter sized listing lists winners, in black ink calligraphy, between 1940 and 1985.
The poster lists winners, in black black ink calligraphy, between 1940 and 1991. It also notes that awards were not handed out in 1987, 1989, 1992, and 1993.

Drew Prime Minister & Minister of Education by the Ontario Barbers Association Petitioning the Government of the Province of Ontario to establish a number of permanent Barber Schools to ensure that a regulated stream of well-trained recruits will continue to enter the Barbering Industry". Brief includes petition, resolution, historical data, statistical data, and a proposed course of study.

Arts, Community Services and Continuing Education

File contains photographs of the Spring 1982 Ryerson Convocation. Included in the photographs is Ryerson President Brian Segal, various students, faculty and staff during the Arts, Community Services and Continuing Education convocation. Also in the photographs is the Reverend Norman A. Ellis, recepient of Ryerson Fellowship and Gordon Cressy, guest speaker.

Applied Arts

File contains photographs of the Spring Convocation 1982. Included in the Applied Arts contact sheet is Ryerson President Brian Segal, the Ryerson Fellowship recepient, various students, faculty and staff.

Application guidelines

File part contains pages of guidelines, from different years, outlining the sources of funding available to members of the Wellesley Alumnae Association. The guidelines were sent out by the Vice President Patient Services for the Hospital V. Sinnott and the secretary of the Alumnae Association.

For 1986 there were three scholarships:

The Elisabeth Flaws Memorial Scholarship - available to active members of the Alumnae Association and are taking post graduate studies in nursing at the degree level. The scholarship was for $2000.

The Elsie K. Jones LaVenture Memorial Fund - is available to registered nurses that have been on staff at The Wellesley Hospital for a minimum of one year. Applicants must take a short term course in graduate studies. There is a one year service commitment to Wellesley after the course is completed.

The Mrs. Herbert A. Bruce Memorial Scholarship - available to current members of the Association and to registered nurses on staff at The Wellesley for a minimum of one year. Applicants must take a conference, seminar, workshop, or refresher course. Scholarship for $200.

For 1987, all the same scholarships were available along with one more:

The President's bursary - available to all current members of the Alumnae Association who are graduates of the School of Nursing. Applicants must take a short term course in graduate studies.
