[Portrait of a couple]

Item is a loose daguerreotype in a frame with cover glass and brass matt, no case. Image is of a man and woman seated. Man wears a suit with vest and white shirt with black bowtie. The woman wears a dark dress with white bonnet and bow tied under her chin.

[Portrait of three women]

Item is a wood frame covered in red paper with gold details, with ambrotype held in place with brass matt and brass preserver. Ambrotype is a portrait of three women, sitting on a bench outside, in front of what looks to be a boat on shore. All three wear elaborate hats, with long dresses and white collars, and their hands in their laps. All three look directly at the camera. Ambrotype is a single sheet of glass, the ashphaltum was painted directly overtop the collodion surface and so it is only one piece of glass with no need for a cover glass.

Item is an albumen portrait adhered onto a calling card or visiting card made of cardboard. Card frame is cream coloured, and deckled. On left side is the small portrait of a woman, standing with her arms resting on the top of a chair made of rough wood. Set in a studio. Next to the image is the inscription (on recto) "Maude Rymal," in descriptive writing. It is assumed that the woman in the portrait is Maude Rymal and that this is her calling card.

[Five portraits of a woman]

Item consists of a black matt with five oval openings and a portrait in each. All five portraits are of the same woman, in different poses. In two of the portraits there is a parasol behind the woman, in one she is holding a top hat, in two others she is looking away from the camera. The black matt has flower details around each opening. On verso, sticker with "$3.50 sw." Same design as 2008.001.1891.

Item is a black folded card card with tissue insert and a photograph of a woman in fur scarf and fur muff on a cream-coloured mount. At the bottom of the mount, embossed, "Kraft/ ST. PAUL". On the front of the card, at the centre, "KRAFT. PORTRAITS" is embossed in a circle design.

Card is glued onto a darker piece of cardboard. On verso, handwritten in pencil upside down, "Maria".

Item consists of a beige card and overmat with darker beige border, with photograph of a group of women on the steps to a building. They all wear white or light coloured low-waisted dresses and bobbed hair, except for two women in a darker colour in the back row and one gentleman standing on a bannister at the far left. At the top of the image, a British flag is visible.

borderless snapshot mounted on thin card of the same size. Depicts a wooden waterwheel with three female figures standing around it. Verso inscription: "May. The Water Wheel. Mr. L and I had half and hour 's argument- because I refused to sit upon the stump marked with a cross. if I had succeeded in getting on I should have fallen off backwards because it was much steeper behind than in front. You would hardly believe what a long jaw we had over such a silly thing. Mary has on the Russian headdress."

Item is a pale yellow cabinet card with a full length photograph of a woman in a plain dark coloured dress, with hoop skirt. The image probably dates to the early 1860s but is a reprint. She has a simple lace collar buttoned with a broach and wears her hair parted and tied back at the nape of the neck. On verso, handwritten in blue ink, "Aunt Margaret/ Mrs. Rowley".

Item is a beige cabinet card with brown letterpress at bottom, "W. Crooke/ 103 PRINCES STREET/ EDINBURGH." Photograph is of a mother and two daughters. The woman sits on the left, wears a tight jacket with lace sleeves and a narrow bonnet with crushed fabric decoration at brim and large silk bow tied under her neck. The older girl on the right wears a dark fabric, probably velvet, dress with lace collar and lace trimming on short sleeves. The infant on the mother's lap wears a lace dress and bonnet. Only the infant looks toward the camera.

Item consists of a cream card with yellow embossed oval. Photograph inset of two women, vignetted. The woman on the right looks towards the camera and the one on the left looks towards the right. Both wear high-collared lace blouses in the Edwardian fashion. At bottom right, embossed, "Solean(?)/ SO. SIDE/ KIRKSVILLE, MO."

Photograph is a full length portrait of a woman with embroidered jacket standing admist cattail reeds.
