This file contains a photographic print of Blackwall Yard, a business centre in London's docklands area, in its first of three phases of construction. It was designed by London-based architects, Richard Rogers Partnership, who were recognised by The Royal Institute of British Architects for the project.

Bowen Island, residence

This folder consists of photographs of the Bowen Island residence. Situated on two acres of a rocky island near Vancouver, the house consists of four connecting pavilions, design to give privacy to the owners while accommodating servants, guests and grandchildren. The design is Massey Medal winner of 1965. The review article was published in Canadian Architect in February 1965, p. 55. There are some B&W photos and a drawing plan of the residence.

This file contains a photographic print of a model of Bracken House and of Bracken House itself. Bracken House is an example of modern classicism, a movement in architecture that continues the practice of classical and traditional architecture. Architect Sir Albert Richardson designed the building to serve as the headquarters and printing works of the Financial Times.

Photographs of the exterior of a low-rise brick office complex on a manicured lawn. Stamps on the back of the photographs give the architect as Gordon S. Adamson & Associates and the photographer as N & H Studio. A piece of paper adhered to the verso has the following text: "Northern Electric Co. Ltd./ Toronto Branch Laboratory/ Bramalea, Ontario/ View looking South/ Gordon S. Adamson & Associates/ Architects". A similar paper appears on the second photo, except the view is looking West. Photograph 3 is a view of the main entrance and photograph 4 is a view looking north.

Burlington, Shopping Centre

View of a patio on the second storey of an outdoor shopping centre. A small sign in the window indicates that this space was leased by the Toronto Dominion Bank, probably as part of a branch office. The image is printed in Canadian Architect magazine's October 1958 issue [p.57], which profiled 7 shopping malls. This centre was constructed with a steel frame and flexcore slab floors, and a concrete foundation.

The Burnaby Jamatkhana is located on a 1.4 ha site in a residential suburb of Vancouver. The building concept was generated by Islamic architectural principles. Thus, building is totaly symmetrical, with a plan composed of two squares.

Photographs of the interior and exterior of an office building and attached factory located in Scarborough, primarily the office portion with a curtain wall and exposed exterior columns.

The industrial building and offices has a steel frame, bolted in the factory area, and bolted and welded in the office area. The curtain wall of windows in the office area is accented by exposed exterior columns. This architectural detail (the columns) was originally developed by the architects for a school building, to aid in the addition of a second storey. The building has concrete floors throughout and a steel roof deck.

CIL House Offices

Head office is jointly occupied by Catholic Education Center. Building cost was 33.5 million including land and construction. View of entrance, interior and exterior of the building. Images 2009.002.016.002 & 003 had yellow sticky notes attached indicating they were considered for the July 1982 cover of Canadian Architect magazine. The sticky notes were kept with the files. Images of the reception area show a ceramic mural by Angelo di Petta called Canadian Allegory. This mural is made of 84 tiles which will cover the entire third floor lobby wall.
